I loved that Pep bodied Paradise when he implied the season would only be a success if we blew Uniter/Inter away.

Paradise admitting his job is to find a headline - and here I was naively thinking it was to report the facts.

Paradise really is the worst of the worst. If we had a Bluemoon Cup for worst "journalist" he would surely make the last 4. It's the snidey, arrogant way he goes about his business. At least some of the others don't try and hide their disdain for us.

Why doesn’t Paradise just write “Pep says they’ll blow the Rags away” it’s not like he’s not a 2 faced lying **** like his mates.

Completely agree. The media HATE us. They've done their best to create an asterisk against our achievements through speculation and myth peddling. There is a relentless wave of negativity in the reporting on City, there is no balance or objectivity, just opinions dressed up as fact.

It's extremely frustrating, but I try to ignore the noise. These are incredible times to be a City fan and they won't last forever, so we've got to enjoy every second. Fuck the begrudgers.
Remember this *asterisk is only a metaphor in their bitter narratives. Meanwhile we’re winning actual trophies.

Unless we’re found guilty and stripped of all our trophies, there will be no asterisk - not a real one.

Maybe there is some mileage in a Bluemoon poll for worst journalist of the year. Can anyone set that up?

We could have a trophy and a short presentation. they wouldn't be there of course, but it would be good fun.

2 x £50m player for every position, let’s give this a try

GK - oops
Maybe RB ok we’ve got 1
Let’s try left back oops

I’m sure the target audience are fuming about this especially with those loaded words like “loophole” to describe how we make money to avoid the need for owner investment.

To be fair to Harris, I am sure his in-depth analysis is this: Cost of squad 1.1 billion, divide by 22 players equals 50 million each, so two players costing 50 million each for each position.

It's nonsense of course, but at least there is some justification, unlike most of his work. And don't forget, we shouldn't be too harsh, as he is recognised not to be an expert in his field, just some random journalist. We can't expect too much.

The pathetic Harris writes a tedious article which basically shows City have done nothing wrong.

Meanwhile a proper journalist Marin Samuel again today in the Times points out (with facts) how the cartel are trying to take away fair competition

The likes of Harris Delaney Ronay Lieu never tackle this issue as the red masses would not like it.

Some might say they are cowards.

Would love to read that but behind a paywall and too tight to pay. Always writes with common sense though
