Remember one of our first games last season that Arsenal side were the worst I've ever seen.
Today's performance was a good one with a team playing as a team.

Jesus is now Henry and Messi rolled into one since leaving City.

An absolute steal at £50mill

Totally absurd coverage. Confirms that the post-truth society has arrived. You literally can't believe anything written in the media. I honestly thought it would never become this bad.

I always want our guys to do well when they leave, it’s a great advertisement for our club and for future sales.

As for the media blowing smoke up their arses, I barely listen as it’s only there to serve the brand. If they’d both moved to a side with less prominence than Arsenal, there wouldn‘t be half as many platitudes as that club wouldn’t have sold as many subscriptions.
Very true

This is the redtop media subversively sending out a message to City players that if/when you leave "that" club, we will shower you with the accolades and recognition that we ignored whilst you were playing for City.

Something that Bernardo Silva quizzed upon on two separate occasions.

What about Bernardo ?

Just watched the Arse game, Bournemouth are very poor, and Arse are better than they have been for years, but the commentary, dear me,Gabby and Zinch are suddenly wonderful according to them, and implied it's something of a coup for Arsenal to get them as they were both integral in City winning so much over the past few years.I liked both of them and wish them all the best, but I don't think any Blue was exactly surprised or gutted losing two squad players , particularly for the players we got in.
No mention of how Pep has made the players who they are today or how Arteta has learnt from Pep, wasn't that long ago Arselona fans were calling for him to be sacked

It's laughable, as if they've never seen him play for us before. He had quite a few games like that and better too. He scored four goals last season; I think against Watford. It just shows you how much they downplay our team and players and report on them totally differently when they leave. Utter scum.

Yes.

Thankfully however, the City players' response to those tacit messages are: "no you're alright, we'll continue to win silverware at MCFC and piss you off".

Well I was.

Said on a few occasions that Jesus was the one out of Jesus, Sterling and Mahrez that I wanted to keep. My preferred option on the right side of a front 3. His workrate, versatility and age all suggested he should have been the one we kept. I’m very happy with Haaland and Alvarez coming in, I feel the club made a call that for balance and playing time we needed to lose 2 to bring in 2 and they chose (or that’s all they could get offers for) Jesus and Sterling. Personally, I would have gone with Mahrez and Sterling.

Feel we are weaker as a squad without Zincenko in it and 30m was robbery. Particularly when it’s less than half what Chelsea paid for the player we wanted to replace him with but didn’t get. Are we stronger with a Net 19m in the bank and a young untested Gomez as back up LB? Because that’s the current equation.

The media is doing what it always does. Both players were predominantly squad players at City. However they were integral members of the squad. At Arsenal they are going to be integral members of the first 11. So they will get the greater opportunities to shine and show what they are capable of with consistent run in the team (there will be significantly less rotation).

Arsenal got two internationals, both mid 20’s and with multiple years PL and Titles for a combined 75m - that is a coup for Arsenal.

For these two I’m glad they’re playing well, not in the slightest surprised and I wish them every success.
