You’d be happy for our defenders to turn with the ball in that situation and try and beat the attacker?the one rule that gets my back up is excessively shielding the ball so it goes out for a goal kick.
happy for someone to explain what's wrong with my long held view that if a guy is shielding it then it should be considered in his possession, and a corner given. Otherwise i don't see why it isn't obstruction. It would force defenders to play the ball or risk a corner. Keeping the game moving.
sometimes the shielding is outrageous.
