the one rule that gets my back up is excessively shielding the ball so it goes out for a goal kick.
happy for someone to explain what's wrong with my long held view that if a guy is shielding it then it should be considered in his possession, and a corner given. Otherwise i don't see why it isn't obstruction. It would force defenders to play the ball or risk a corner. Keeping the game moving.
sometimes the shielding is outrageous.
You’d be happy for our defenders to turn with the ball in that situation and try and beat the attacker?

if he has already been covicted of a racial offence, how come he has a job with talksport?

Same can be asked as to why convicted drink drivers (Saunders, Brazil, Trev himself, O'Hara punched a teenager) are still employed by Talk Shite. Demonstrates the calibre of their punditry.

Had the games gone ahead this weekend it would’ve been fascinating to see how the media, currently (understandably) as pro royal as it’s possible to be would’ve dealt with the inevitable boos of the national anthem at anfield. At such a time as this it surely would’ve been impossible to ignore it or brush it off as just a few underprivileged idiots venting their fury at the oppressive way Merseyside has been treated blah blah blah - for once the vermin might’ve been held accountable for their actions
