The French League is unfairly maligned. I have watched a fair number of matches in France when on holiday, mostly at Nantes and Rennes. The standard of play is below that in England, Spain, Germany and Italy but above that of any other country.

The French League always used to be competitive before the rise of PSG. But then again so did the German League! The Italian League was dominated by Juventus forever but is now slightly more competitive.

City have a good record against PSG but less so against other French teams.
Allez le Nantes..

Been to a couple of games there and never seen so many fit women at footy.

The RDAHMeedya are not going to describe any Erling goal other than a 'tap in'! They must have got the idea from that 'tap in' by Vinnie v Leicester, or the string of 'tap ins' that Sergio accumulated. I'm pretty certain that every time he got a hat trick it was a string of tap ins.
Just wait, soon he will be bungling it over the line.

I'm all for changing old rules that serve no purpose but in this case the rules have grown organically to make the game more entertaining like you say it's an Entertainment Business
the one rule that gets my back up is excessively shielding the ball so it goes out for a goal kick.
happy for someone to explain what's wrong with my long held view that if a guy is shielding it then it should be considered in his possession, and a corner given. Otherwise i don't see why it isn't obstruction. It would force defenders to play the ball or risk a corner. Keeping the game moving.
sometimes the shielding is outrageous.

Gary Chuckle learned the folly of shielding in the last Maine Rd Derby, the goat taught him a hard lesson

Fair enough.

I think if we take away City bias, that most fans would pick Mbappe.

I also understand that won’t be popular on here.

I think Haaland is a better fit for us as he's a true goal poacher and that's not Mbappe's game, plus there's all the Billy big nuts attitude with Mbappe

Anywhere else on the pitch and they are fouls. Refs just cannot be arsed with those and its shocking.
