A decent article in the Sporting Life today.
It talks about how Arteta has used Pep‘s principles in building Arsenal, how our style of play has changed and why some teams have had some success against us.

Everyone should have total faith that we'll win the title this year.... why? Coz I've just heard Paul Merson say "I can't see anyone stopping Arsenal now"
Anyone who says on New Year's Day that team X is bound to win the title is a buffoon, irrespective of whoever the team is.
History is littered with changes of football fortune - doesn't he know that?
I'd say the same if it was City with a big lead on Jan 1st.

As you’d imagine nothing mentioned in the match write up about the ref in the press or gritty little Everton and their shite time wasting and snidey tackling…but there was an individual stand alone puff piece in the DM asking “should Haaland have seen red” accompanied in the comments by some of the worst nonsensical vitriol aimed at Haaland and our club I’ve read so far….so job done by someone called Samuel Draper.
Right. If England had been reffed in a similar way in a World Cup game, the England-supporting press would have been up in arms. We'd never have heard the last of it. Look how many references there were in the WC about poor refereeing.
For some reason this never happens in the PL, despite someappalling performances by officials such as on Satutrday.
City are not only reffed differently, they are reported differently, as we all know. Reports are coloured by the writers' prejudices.

In his defence no team that has won 40 points in 15 games has failed to win the title.

Hopefully we will shatter that stat as well.

Not even sure that's in English tbh
It's fanzine level reporting. How many times have we seen one of our players escape a yellow and pick one up later only to have these media morons say he is lucky to be on the pitch every time he touched the ball. For United, it's well if he had been booked he wouldn't have picked up the second yellow. It's probably true but it's the blinkered hypocrisy that grates.

Should be curtains for him now from our clubs journalistic access point of view

However, as we know, we will continue to treat him like royalty every time he turns up at the Etihad to do a hatchet job on us. He knows it and the rest of the so called ‘sportswriters’ that report on our games know it. I’m past caring anymore. It’s blatantly obvious the club are not bothered by the lies and untruths they write about us - so why should I?

Is there anything in the press/media about the lack of added time in the premier league ?

Just asking as in the world cup they got it right and fans got to see 90 minutes of football.
Didn't they stop that half way through the World Cup as the TV companies complained it was messing up the schedules?

It would also never have been that close to 90 minutes. City's games have more time with the ball in play than any others, and it's usually around 60 minutes. There was a game against Southampton where we had 68 mins of ball in play, and the same week, Leeds/Palace had 44 mins, all on the same rules.

I watched the game on Premier TV and the dickhead presenter who was Irish so presumably a dipper/rag wanted 2 reds! One for Erling plus one for Kev! Luckily the Dunney monster told him he was talking out of his arse!
