Listened to the match on the City website last night
That was a bit of a 'nothing' post', much like the Chelsea keepers attempt to stop the Grealish cross .
Like most City fans, I tend to avoid mainstream media as much as possible with regards City. Generally I listen to the matches on the City website, (particularly enjoy it when our old mate Andy Morrison is the Co commentator.)
Unfortunately it kept 'buffering' last night, so I had Radio 5 as a back up and had to endure Chris Sutton and all his negative, resentful digs. Worse to come, that Ogden geezer was even more bitter and miserable on Sky Sports news!
Have to say though, good old Clive Myrie at the end of the BBC news had a much more pleasant, positive tone when it came to the evenings football result!

oh dear. back pages tonight on SSN. its not fair..... city can bring on grealish and mahrez its not fair
They've got a point to be fair - I thought it was a brilliant cup tie and it was impressive and admirable that those plucky underdogs Chelsea managed to keep it competitive having been run off a shoestring for the last few decades.

What do you mean it was a league game...........!?!

Lord Tolmie of That Ilk, such vituperation, such calumny idly thrown at the members of that noble profession, the UK Sports Media, ill becomes you!

Why, only yesterday afternoon upon searching for news of our game against The West End Arrivistes, I found several examples of fair-minded, informative articles regarding our brave Boys in Blue.

For example, the 'Mirror Football' had its preview piece as high as the 43rd item on its page; while the 'Express' had a similar piece in at 38th ('with a bullet' as I think all the young pop-pickers who follow the hit parade nowadays might say..)

And of course, our wonderful BBC Sport reporter did us proud this morning on the 'Breakfast' sofa despite his account of Chelsea's derring-do against the insurmountable, cheating force they were up against, going so far as mentioning that City had actually won the game! Oh, be still my beating heart..!

Fair dos, yesterday afternoon the 'Mail' had no such preview at all but, to be fair to those trusty wielders of the pen of truth, they were probably all active preparing the ground for their post-match reports and follow-ups later last evening..

So, no more of it please or else, sirrah! Otherwise you may find yourself on the end of the finest Toledo steel..!!

How much was the goalkeeper that watched the ball roll slowly to Mahrez.

I was watching on sky go and the signal is often rubbish. It's like watching TV with a migraine when that happens. Just as Grealish played the ball the signal went fuzzy and looked an easy claim for Kepa. I was amazed when it turned out we'd scored. The signal kicked back in for the replays and I still think it's a massive keeper error. So weird how he pulls his hand away! Not that I'm complaining, it's great for us!

Just watched the Sky highlights on Youtube. The bitter old twat Tyler sounded like he had just had some bad news when we scored!

Used to be a somewhat admirable profession back in the day, lots to be admired, bit murky at times, but that came with the territory, can’t imagine many of this current lot getting up off their arses and actually doing some proper investigative work, not sure I’d want them to either, morally bankrupt cunts most of them.

Could have gone in the Liverpool thread or the Make a Liverpool Echo headline up thread.

The (Liverpool FC) Echo just can’t let it go.

Obviously they haven’t bought into this new friendship between Liverpool Football Club and City. Or refuse to.

Maybe they could do another in-depth article and find out who threw the pint pot filled with coins and liquid that injured the young City fan?

The narrative form the LFC/Echo continues.

Of course the cult will lap it up.

The Echo website is a pile of shite, just like it’s Sister MUEN website. Full of ads, a page that downloads slowly and get’s stuck. Hence the screen grabs rather than copy and pasting some of the article. If you want to read the full article the link is below. Just be patient whilst you get through it slowly.

On alighter note from the Liverpool Echo. There’s a (washed up) comedian in every Scousers. Next post.

Where's that from and what's the form, ula? The link I had said - £469m over last five years for City. Maybe I am not understanding though.
I had it saved to taunt rags & dippers so had to do a reverse image search. Looks like it came from here so all credit to @BlueCityBrain on twitter for it.

Tbh I think the media are doing cut and paste from lfc to arsenal.

'Poor' Arsenal
Arsenal have 'injuries'
City spend lots.

I think today more than any other the media have realised City will have a chance and that Arsenal might not win the title. And it's upset them.

Go City!

Plus the rag fans in the media getting giddy adds to it all..

How come we spend so little?

If the likes of West Ham & Wolves outspend us then imagine how good we’d be if we at least matched their spend. CL wins almost guaranteed and title sewn up by February. Are we deliberately trying to keep the league competitive?

We must surely have plenty to spend on a left back, fast winger and Bellingham in summer, given our income from TV & commercial deals.

No mention of those sponsorship values being deemed as fair value by none other than UEFA. Lazy journalism. Just look at the depth of our sponsors - Puma, Nexen, OKX, Sony, EA Sports, Hays, DS2, Gatorade, to name but a few. All clearly Abu Dhabi based sponsors, hmmmm.

He really was last night, virtually every comment about us was a snidey little dig. Absolute tosser !

At least he is hurting .

When he's got an arsehole like Carragher or Neville co-presenting he is at his worst , but to be fair he should have been put out to grass a long time ago.

No mention of Standard Chartered fined hundreds of millions in the US and the UK for money laundering and breaking Iranian sanctions.

Also.

City aren’t owned by Abu Dhabi, stated in the skewed article, City are now owned by Shiekh Mansour and Silverlake.
