Are the press/media still saying that 80% of our squad are of the Barcelona and RM ?
Very positive from the DT this morning, but there's still the notion that MANUre had only to grow a bit of confidence and belief in order to blunt the City cutting edge. What utter bullshine! On the basis of footballing talent, skill, tactical acumen, never mind the belief and confidence City had, the Rags were well and truly battered. A derby drubbing the like of which I'd not seen at the Etihad! We'd come close a couple of times - the game with the 44-pass goal - but this was the drubbing of drubbings.I need a sit down. A positive match report from the BBC. Nurse.
Quite. A friend sent me that article, ostensibly complimentary but through a lens of android efficiency (digital age was how it was couched, vs rag quill and ink, or summat) rather than just praising the beautiful football. And he mentioned bottomless resources twice, as if FFP rules would allow overspend anywhere but the cartel members, also included state-owned bullshit, yet again...“Bottomless resources” says Barney Ronay when explaining our superiority over the rags.
Err not quite as bottomless as their resources Barnie. I don’t think he’s checked the spending figures.
Samuels match report in that rag is a thing of beauty that should be cut out, framed and placed on a wall.
So far on Jim Shite’s show the discussion was about American Football at the Spuds ground and now the sacking of Chris Wilding. Not a mention of yesterday so far. If the Rags had won there wouldn’t be another other topic discussed for at least an hour. I don’t listen much these days but just thought I’d tune in to see if they are ignoring us, which they are, idiot agenda.
Particularly liked the bit about our new full-back, Sergio Perez :)Samuels match report in that rag is a thing of beauty that should be cut out, framed and placed on a wall.
To be fair, he qualified that comment by saying that United, RM and Barca were effectively in the same boat when it comes to spending on players.“Bottomless resources” says Barney Ronay when explaining our superiority over the rags.
