Because he doesn't think they are spending unlimited money.

If the Panamanian sovereign wealth fund and the Norweigian sovereign wealth fund bought Burnley and Fulham respectively and invested a few billion, knocking Liverpool down the table, do you think Klopp would be OK with it?

No, of course he wouldn't. Because he doesn't have anything against people from the Middle East, he has a problem with what he thinks is overinvestment from owners with essentially limitless wealth.

How do we know that's his problem? Because he literaly spent 20 fucking minutes explaining his problem on Friday in the press conference apparently none of you accusing him of xenophobia bothered to watch.

Like I said very clearly in my original comment, lots of criticism of City over the years has had an anti-arab or islamaphobic bent to it, but this categorically didn't and it's completely dishonest to pretend otherwise.

I know tensions are high after yesterday but I can't believe people are seriously arguing that Klopp is prejudiced against Arabs/the Middle East.

Why?

Klopp (and FSG) knows City have complied with FFP over the last decade.

Klopp knows City can only spend what the club makes, just like Liverpool, United, etc.

Therefore Klopp is a liar.

He is continuing his and FSG's narrative that City spend more than any other club becuase they have unlimted money from an wealthy Arab country, which a Liverpool fans lap up. What Klopp says is the truth.(no it's not)

When was the last time Klopp criticised Henry, FSG, or another (red shirt) club owned by a Billionaire Yank for spending money?

Because he doesn't think they are spending unlimited money.

He doesn't think we are, either, he knows that we spend within our income, or within a tolerated margin of it. Like every other club that is subject to FFP without contravening it.

So why would he make an allegation against us that he knows to be untrue? And why would he single out just three clubs, all run in different ways, all owned by individuals or groups that hail from the middle east?

And even the days after the hostility increases with the sports media helping towards

I spoke with a Liverpool fan today, about the toxicity that is growing between our 2 fan bases.

He actually thinks it is us trying to manufacture a rivalry- I closed this down straight away stating this is the last thing us City fans have done. With the rags being our one and only rivals.

I put it too him that since Liverpool started challenging, it leans more towards them, their actions over the last few years (which we all know about) and the sports media creating a hatred towards our club that have created this level of toxicity

As someone said earlier today, it seems it will only get worse, and the sports media are revelling in it.

Neville backed up his claim during the commentary yesterday too - city should be calling out that wanker as well

I hesitate to point out that Herr Klopp (is that a xenophobic turn of phrase?) thought our acquittal by CAS was "a sad day for football". because he "believed in financial fair play"! I thought then that this was anti-City mendacity rather than that he was terminally stupid. Well, not terminally stupid. I don't think he's xenophobic now. Just bitter and, I'm afraid, typically scouse (certainly not English).

He should be called out anyway just for being a horrible **** but he was careful in the commentary - I think the phrase he used was “a wealthy backer”

We don't know Klopp's personal feelings about people of Arabic origin but is well known there is a lot of bad blood between JW Henry and the people he refers privately to as "The Sheikhs." It is also known that Henry is close to Rick Parry (formerly of the UEFA investigations chamber during its witchunt against City). Parry is a man who is certainly "clear and organised" in the way he works and is not flavour of the month with the City hierarchy.
So perhaps Klopp was trying to curry favour with his boss by singling out the three clubs with Middle Eastern owners to be the subject of his childish rant. Whatever his motives it is not a good look for any senior club Leader to be seen to be so bitter and angry. I wonder what he says in private about our owner.

Have sky mentioned coins being thrown at Pep?

Now I dont agree with any chants about the dead victims of tragedies at all.

However, for these scum to perpetrate the actions that caused the death of 39 innocent people and then get "victim triggered" themselves when anyone mentions it is fcking unbelievable.

Just as bad is the medias willingness to go along with them on all this, have not one of them got the balls or integrity to publicly call it all for what it actually is.

I just cannot see myself ever buying a newspaper ever again, and I dont go on their internet sites either. If they cant show a degree of integrity in their work they dont deserve to be paid.

Xenophobia has a meaning, you can't just invent a new one to make Klopp's quotes xenophobic.

Klopp did not mention the race or background of anyone.

He is clearly prejudiced against multibillionaire owners who invest heavily in their clubs, we know that because he detailed at large what his "issue" is - the amount of money. Pretending there's a racial element to any criticism he made on Friday is completely dishonest.

These are the 10 richest owners in world football. If it wasn’t a xenophobic comment, it was incredibly misguided seeing as he only mentioned the 3 Middle Eastern owners. Why not mention Juve? Red Bull? Arsenal?

1) Nasser Al Khelafi isn't a billionaire.

2) Nasser Al Khelaifi doesn't own PSG

3) PSG are owned by the Qatar Investment authority, worth $445 Billion.

So Klopp has in fact jut named the 3 richest owners in football, regardless of their nationality.

And he is a racist liar, no matter what the contrarian edge lords on here say
He singled out three clubs with Arab owners and made dog whistle slanders he knew were patently untrue, solely to deflect from his own failings and to incite the usual xenophobia and Islamophobia from his fellow cultists

We should have sued the **** that day
