I'm 53 yrs old and can't remember the media ever having such a nasty twisted narrative against any other football club in it's entirety.
After 10+ years now it seems bedded in stone and the norm to treat our football club with Utter contempt.
I really think this is bang out of order now and needs to stop.
It can't be good for our national game surely, to single out a club (champions as well) and beat them with a stick on a daily basis.

Maybe if the media grew some balls and told the world why they do it then some bridges could be built, but I think they actually enjoy appeasing all the rags and dippers of this world.
In which case they can go and get fu#ked.

their collective dummy is well and truely out of the pram. All those years of our gutter press lauding the big/sky/super Sunday 4 and the usual Spanish, Italians and Germans in the chumps league then having City gate crash the party . All coinciding with 3 of the big 4 going through massive downward transitions and the dippers playing their best ever football for comparatively little reward have all led to the point where the British press collectively ignore their best team out of spite both domestically and on the continent. It amazes me that none of their own ever call them out for it.

The reaction from media and opposition fans shouldn't concern us in the slightest.

I fundamentally disagree. The media's constant, OTT arse-licking of Liverpool FC, contributed directly to the events of Thursday, and other previous incidents in the last few years.

The constant framing of us as "cheats" and the exceptionalism applied to them, plays a huge part in the growing antagonism between the fans.

There are football clubs and then there's Liverpool Football Club, the authentic football club, European Royalty, in whose hallowed ground the true spirit of football resides, where the atmosphere is unparalleled, better than anything you'd find anywhere else.

Is it any wonder commentators go silent in awe and respect for YNWA?

Of all the things the dippers do this not talking over YMWA really pisses me off. On Thursday the commenters talked over bluemoon at the start.

I know it a minor thing but it's only the dippers that get this treatment. Its treated like a bloody National Anthem by sky and BT.

'member at the start of the lockdowns there was this weird push in the UK media to make it the anthem for Covid sufferers.

Until someone questioned the lyrics were not appropriate for social distancing measures, and it quietly got dropped for banging pots instead.
