We live in a world full of nothing celebrities, but there are individuals who still genuinely stand out, game changers, people who leave their mark, where you can say there was a before them and an after them.

Pep is one of those rare individuals.
Totally agree. I love pep. I’m a fully paid up pep fanboy. The guys a genius.

Journalists are vermin, a mail journo is labelling Nick Pope a "dope". FFS, he made one mistake, wasn't too shocking either. Doesn't warrant such nastiness from some slimeball in a suit.

They're absolute snakes, fine to write shite about anybody but Liverpool FC because they're scared of their fans. Lots of journos questioning TAA being dropped. The dipper love in is nauseating.

Strikes me that journos were that kid last to be picked for a game or were just shite. They've never got over it so they feel the need to troll pro players.
I think it's got a lot to do with other player's agents getting cosy with the journalists.

A Tory MP once called Boris Johnson the Pep Guardiola of politics!

Yes, but got very little service I thought and increasingly came inside to try and get involved more. He really wasn't getting much support from his wing back, there was little interplay between them. The team was devoid of creativity in midfield and in the main transitions were very clunky. That to me is the reason he struggled. If he is going to be wide, he needs someone like Maddison or Mount in the middle so that there is similar interplay as what we see at City.
I'm not trying to be down on Phil, I just think he is completely wasted by Southgate. I would rather give him some time in midfield with one of Bellingham/Rice and one of Maddison/Mount. Three in front of that midfield and a back four behind it.
I believe Foden's downturn in form is simply down to being played on the right. He's a left sided/middle player for me.

The way they go after people is outrageous. I was listening to don Godman on a podcast the other day and he talks or Graham Taylor and the way the press hounded him. Turing up in their droves at wolves who were in division 2 just so they could ridicule him if they lost.

Journalists have a fair greater sense of worth and entitlement in football than they think. The majority have their agenda and stick to it.

Plus I’m still bitter at the write up and criticism I took when I played in the 90s. Got absolutely slaughtered as a teenager.
To misquote George Bernard Shaw, "Those who can, do, those who can't, cricitsise".
