Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has noticed a subtle difference in the way his team are being judged compared to the other Premier League title contenders, including Arsenal, which brings its own pressure.

The defending champions will try to cut the gap on the Gunners to five points by winning at Chelsea later.

Guardiola thinks that is a decent position, but he gets the feeling external observers see it as a mini-crisis.

"The advantage of Arsenal and Manchester United right now is nobody has to win the Premier League by 20 points in November like Man City has to," he said.

"This is sometimes a big problem. People say, ‘Ah, yes, Arsenal are winning all their games and you are eight points behind'.

"But I see the way we played the last games, and the feeling is good."

Really Pep? Lets hope for a good win tonight so I can feel good too.

We might not of played brilliantly but we have controlled all our games and made enough chances to win everyone of them but this is football it doesn’t work like that! Think it’s pep who has lost a slight edge in his thinking it’s him who needs to improve his thinking!

I agree. I never even remotely indicated that I thought he was shit. But I think we have to be honest with ourselves regarding Jack. I honestly love him to bits. I really do. But for me, as yet, he hasn't nearly justified his record fee price tag. As I say, if the rags or the scousers had spunked £100m on him we would think it was hilarious and react like we do regarding Nunez.
And Antony. He seems to get a free pass the £90m stepover show pony

The price is an elephant....£40,50,80 million doesn't make him a better or worse player.

Unfortunately he's just not at our level and as long as he's being shoehorned into wide left, we'll never know if he could be!!

Must have thought Bernardo was leaving that summer but even so £100 MILLION !!

Sky can’t help themselves, Dipper fucker Harriet no mark on the Transfer show, she just stares at the camera and spouts a load of vacuous shite bile, not a Scouser which is hardly a surprise, ffs, can’t stand her.

Pleasantly surprised by a report on BBC news this lunch time. They were reporting on an increase in offensive chanting and I thought it would be a Scouse whinge fest, sure enough it started referencing Hillsborough. I thought here's where they blame City, but no had Everton singing "always the victims* then nited singing " the sun was right " then incredibly Liverpool singing " Munich chants". Balanced BBC coverage someone will get their arse kicked for this.

They really think there has been an increase? I remember some pretty offensive shit being sung 30/20/10 years ago. Or are people just more easily offended these days?

According to this the only way we can sign Bellingham is if we sell, otherwise we fall foul of FFP, again!, but apparently the dippers and RM could sign him with no issues as there's no mention of FFP with them!

Well now. There is an article. Complete bollocks. And it seems Everton have found a way to stop Haaland scoring more than one goal a game. Only the 42 goals in the PL this season for him then.

Not staying on his feet is another myth created by the press and social media, now being perpetuated by his own supporters. He has the absolute shit kicked out of him in every game.

Who needs enemies eh!!!
Goes down far to easily. And I get that from watching him play and not some gimp on social media.

I don't know. He has this habit of taking an extra touch and passing the ball at the last split second. Which means he gets clattered a lot. Not surprised he "anticipates" some challenges in those circumstances. IMHO, he should release the ball earlier and not draw so many late tackles into his feet. He isn't going to get the protection he got at Villa.

Couldn’t disagree more. Not seen a player get the shit kicked out of him more than Grealish for a long time. The Leeds game being the perfect example. Definitely doesn’t go down easily compared to any other players out there that’s for sure.

He should ride those little digs and dance away from the defender like Foden does.

Perhaps, but this is certainly driven by the perceived chants re Hillsborough, without bothering to identify that the murderers theme is supposed to be about Heysel. As has been said elsewhere the conflation of 'the sun was right' and 'murderers' is wrong, has confused matters and was unfortunate that a handful of Blues allegedly used it at anfield. Even so, I think we can be sure that the scouse defence for their own disgusting actions (others provoke us!) is the real reason for this getting a higher profile airing now...
