Can a new owner simply wipe out debts? The likes of us, Chelsea, Leeds United and Newcastle United were allowed to go down when we were shit. United and LiVARpool will never “go away” simply because no matter how bad they are, they’ll be helped to stay in the Premier League. I’m sure the FFP inspectors are very thorough when investigating them and they don’t just book a few days on the golf course.Maybe he is happy to be the first interested in buying because he came to let to the party for his real club chelsea! And then more people interested will come forward because am sure chelsea had loads of people wanting to buy them! Rags want a bidding was as such! Also am sure some of these loans can’t be just “payed of” in one go there long term loans that have to get there % back from them!
So say someone buys them clears all there debt they then can spend at least 150m+ every summer at least maybe even more because they do have a great turnover they start winning that will be going only one way!
Am realist they will be back! Football moves on we have had an unbelievable 10/12 years eventually we will fall back into the pack! As long as we competing picking up the occasional trophy a league title I’ll be more than happy..
Monaco is a bit closer to the Cayman Islands in distance and a lot closer for tax avoidance.According to BBC (United) Sport, Jim Ratcliffe is a local boy from Failsworth, done good. A self-made millionaire. And a United fan. No mention of him not paying tax in the UK. And living in the Monaco tax Haven.
Chelsea's owners did just wipe out debt, it's not right and negates all the rhyme and reason of FFP.Can a new owner simply wipe out debts? If he's into tax avoidance he should get on well with Sir Fishfingers. They can compare notes on how to avoid paying tax whilst lecturing the government on how taxes should be spent.According to BBC (United) Sport, Jim Ratcliffe is a local boy from Failsworth, done good. Can an owner (new or not) just pay off a club’s debt? Surly it would contravene FFP or the likes of Chelsea Newcastle etc (& us) would just take out a huge loan for any players we wanted & the debt could be paid off??
I'd imagine he'll be trying to restructure the debt (or get the glazers to pay it) before biddingCan an owner (new or not) just pay off a club’s debt? But can the Glazers pay it - surely Directors cannot just pump money into their club - or, as I mentioned before, all the rich owners would do it so that their club can spend an unlimited amount on the best players?I'd imagine he'll be trying to restructure the debt (or get the glazers to pay it) before bidding
