Someone at the PL is certainly in bed with one of the "big" two red clubs in this league, why on earth would a PL employee want to tarnish (within hours of) this clubs most dominant display of football that this country has witnessed for decades. Its bitterness of the highest level, from an organisation that should be impartial to all of its members.
And this is precisely the reason why the Government is pushing strongly to take regulatory powers away from the Premier League and that's why City are the only club supporting that move. The Premier League has shown it is unfit for purpose with its regulatory function. Someone high up at the PL is still leaking confidential information about the discussions taking place between our lawyers and those at the PL. That story about City challenging the entire process (with the irrelevant mischief-making angle about Rosen being an Arsenal fan) didn't make its way to the Times newspaper by accident. You can be sure it didn't come from either of the legal teams (who have signed Non Disclosure Agreements) and no one at City would have leaked it to take the gloss off our Real Madrid victory. Our enemies just can help themselves can they?
Why does the revelation take the gloss off our victory over RM? I’d argue it’s the reverse and shows City going on the offensive. Both sides won’t have signed NDAs - we’re in a dispute with the PL. The leak is as likely to have come from City in my view. The Rosen issue isn’t a nothing point - far from it. He is in a unique position to influence the outcome and because of the very limited rights of appeal his actual and perceived impartiality is crucial to a fair process.

Because it was never meant to be this way. If Real were due in the Northwest to play a Champions League Semi Final, it's was supposed to be at Klanfield or Old Toilet, NOT the fuckin "Emptihad"!

They setup the PL in such a way to keep favouring the Rags, Dippers & the Arseholes, not a newly minted Northern outsider like City.

They've tried to rectify our intrusion with the introduction of FFP, but they're struggling to make that bullshit stick, & now it's affecting certain 'istree UEFA/G14 members, they're even more pissed with City!

Fuck em! Fuck em all! We'll just continue building our business as we've done since the takeover & make our own history & attract new fans regardless.

So why didn't Masters just tell the Red Shirts to fuck off??? The lobbyists may well be powerful, but this is a multi-billion £ industry, and to damage the product is just shooting themselves in the foot. For all their shithousery over the last decade, they've not really been successful because it hasn't stopped us winning things.
the PL's option was to fight just one club, or 6 clubs (or more, depending on how heavy the 'lean on' was by the redtops). the least line of resistance was followed.

Actually (brain fart) given it’s an arbitration it is supposed to remain confidential. But the other points still stand.

That pathetic excuse for an article from Jonathan Liew is the final straw for me. The club takes an awful lot of (largely unfair and inaccurate) criticism, but the frequent attacks on our fanbase is taking it to a whole new level.

Pitch invasions are probably the longest running tradition of celebration in football, which are replicated up and down the leagues, throughout the country and beyond. Everton look likely to stay up now, and will probably celebrate with a pitch invasion (as they did last year), they have also been charged by the FA. Will their celebrations be criticised in the same way? Unlikely.

I'm going to write to the Guardian to complain, which is a waste of time I know. But I'm also boycotting anything to do with their paper and won't be clicking on any links to their articles. I've followed this approach with some of the other rags for a while and it's better than getting wound up by the pathetic musings of someone I have zero respect for. They can write what they want, but history will remember City's achievements not an opinion piece from a no mark reporter and that's what hurts them the most, their palpable insignificance.
Pitch invasions like 2012 is one thing , yesterday the club asked blues not to do it , they will get charged and have another huge fine , the braindead fans should have respected it , cant moan now if the media use it to bash us with

A business associate of mine who is pretty high up at Arsenal and has many influencial contacts there has just called me to offer his congratulations etc. He believes we are the best team on the planet and thinks Pep is a genius which is great to hear. He then went on to say he has looked into the alleged crimes that have been committed by city in detail and as far as he can see the Premier league are going to get their arses spanked and City will be cleared of any wrongdoing. However, shit sticks and the longer this stuff is being churned out the more guilty we are in the eyes of the masses.

So much for confidentiality.

What our squad's worth & what it actually cost are two different things. The point I made to a mate yesterday was as follows:

Foden - Free
Palmer - Free
Lewis - Free
Ortega - Free
Gomez - £12m
Alvarez - £14m
Akanji - £15m
Total - £41m

This is the reality of the team who comfortably beat a £600m+ Chelsea team 1-0, & it's why we all knew the media would comment on the cost of our bench, & say fuck all about the combined £240m cost of the starting 11. :-/
But they said "worth" not "cost"
I'm pointing out that they are miles away from what its "worth"

The leak was timed to damage us. The Mail story and the response on social media made it sound if we were being petty and using delaying tactics. It was published within hours of the Real Madrid victory to try and deflect attention back on to the PL charges. There is no way City would have leaked it out, not least because we stopped co-operating with UEFA when they leaked to the media. It could only have come from someone high up in the loop within the PL and it went to the same reporter (Martin Ziegler) who received one of the leaks from the UEFA investigation.

True - but that’s because it’s our main squad. Wonder what the team we started with actually cost? No mention of home grown Lewis; Palmer; Foden …..
Got to be worth much more than that now. More good business by City.

It’s funny because while they’re scuttling around for a new position on how to stifle us, they’ve not even noticed Newcastle and teams like Brighton & Brentford coming up on the rails, even Villa who now have a competent manager & will back him in the market. And all the while we’re riding off into the sunset with trophies galore, the best manager, great facilities and just about to be crowned one of the greatest teams in the history of the sport, oh and we’re making a profit!

But what they all forgot to report was that actually starting the match was:
Ortega - Free Transfer
Akanji - £15m
Alvarez £14m (and World Cup winner!)
Foden - Academy
Lewis - Academy
Palmer - Academy

That's 6 first teams starters for less than a combined total of £30m. Absolutely unbelievable!
I did the squad comparison and posted it on the post-match thread this morning. Compared Starting XI's, bench & missing through injury.

Fair enough if that’s your view. But these are points we should be taking and presumably have been advised to take. They are not petty or inconsequential. Anything which discredits or undermines the PL charges and process is fine by me.

Tebas is a nasty overtly racist twat who needs removing from the game. He's more concerned about Manchester City, than La Liga's biggest star being openly racially abused for the NINTH TIME!

I couldn't believe I heard fans chanting "Franco, Franco" whilst other were making monkey noises & hurling vile racist profanities at him.

To make matters worse he was grabbed by the opposition goalie, another player got him in a headlock, as another gripped him by the throat, yet it was Vini sent off for the first time in his career for pushing a player off him during the melee.

Reports coming out of Brazil from Tim Vickery say that Vini Jnr recently extended his contract until 2027, but he's now considering his position.

He's a kid being persecuted for something he can't help... The colour he was born. Apparently he's even more pissed because only Ancelotti supported him at the time.

It took Vini having a public spat with Tebas on Twitter for Real to belatedly react today. Tebas & La Liga have unbelievably told Vini to look at himself, his goal celebrations & fashion sense & to stop purely blaming racism in Spain! WTF! :-/

Agreed, not a cat in hells chance that came from the club, why on earth would City want the back pages to be dominated by it when weve just spanked and dismantled Madrid, why would we want to steal our own headlines?
