I worked with him recently, on a (I'll keep it unnamed for the moment) U.S. network's streaming platform that produces a lot of additional documentary content to supplement their live sport coverage.

The focus of one specific piece was Vincent Kompany. Delaney was one of a number of journalists approached to give his thoughts on Vinny's career. He was like a giddy kid. Couldn't wait to get involved and be effusive in his praise of VK and City during his time with us.

Why? Because he got a very decent paycheck and the opportunity to appear on a well-viewed platform. He says what pays.

It's not rocket science. Create engagement = get rewarded. I know for a fact he reads this forum. He'll be dining out on the outrage.

Harris though, seems fucking unhinged. Especially as, in comparison to Delaney, he has very little exposure, so can't be making a decent living from his nonsense.

I've watched Delaney on various sports shows gushing about us and then the very next day slagging us off online with all the state owned, sportswashing crap.
Makes sense now after reading your post.

yeah, it's done, let it go, if they want they can just heap praise on the fans for not letting it spiral out of control by getting hysterical and kicking off like the dippers, they'd have seen it as an opprtunity to try and jib in and cause problems

I was surprised to still read it in the press a week on. Thought it has been buried to be honest. I know UEFA don't give a shit. I told them so when I filled in their questionnaire.

The TalkShite formula is painful, even when it’s not City. The last time I contributed to their listening figures, Collymore was baying for City to sack Mark Hughes. As soon as City sacked him, it was arrogant City sacking a young British manager for yet another Johnny Foreigner. The issue must be if you work for an organisation like that is you tell so many lies you forget what the truth is. TalkShite is for the likes of Jackie to ring Cundy and O’Hara for her voluntary mocking at their hands, (allegedly, I don’t listen).
