Meeting Re: Atmosphere

not sure if its been said before but i dont see why the build up has to be the same for every game

the atmosphere for some games, and we all know which they are, speaks for itself and the mic and music should be killed

then for other lower profile games maybe try and crank it up a little with more music etc

its a match by match call for someone to guage the atmosphere and act accordingly - not rocket science

Its Frustrating To See The Club Have Made An Effort To Listen To The Fans But Then Failed To Execute The Plan To Exactly How The Fans Wanted It.
It's Quite Obvious To Everyone That A Certain Aspect Of The Atmosphere Created Comes From Direct Communication Between Home And Away Supporters, So It Should Have Been Made Absolutely Clear The Away Fans Still Need To Be Located On The Bottom Tier Near The More Vocal Home Fans.
On The Back Of This We Also Felt It Would Be Extemely Beneficial To Join The "Singing Section" (109,110,111) With The South Stand (116,117,118), Once This Happens It Leaves Simple Mathematics To Solve The Rest, Simply Fill The Now Void "Singing Section" With The Away Supporters.
As A Result Of This, You Have All The Vocal Groups Together Creating A Kippax/Kop Style End, And The Away Supporters Tucked Neatly Away In The Corner But Still Close Enough For The Unmissable Volume Battle.

The Problem With The Decision The Club Has Made, We Are Going To Essentially Replace The Vocal Away Supporters (Atmosphere Creaters) With City Fans That Dont Understand The Routine, It's More Than Likely They Will Sit Down And Stay Moderatly Quiet And That Area Will Now Become Theoretically Empty, The Words 1 Step Forward, 2 Steps Back Comes To Mind.

For Those Who Cant Picture This In There Head, I've Added The Stadium Seating Plan Below.

Level 2's in the same areas are like a different breed of fans to the Level 1. I don't ever see the movement of clapping hands or arms in the air and I never hear songs belted out and started by fans up there.

That's just not true, as anyone who's in 212 will attest to.
I'm sure there are singers up there, I'm not saying you're like the Famy Stand but compared to Level 1 singing areas, well, you're nowt like em.

It appears to me that whatever the Club do there's always someone moaning about it. They seem to be in a no-win situation.
It's no-win when they do things wrong. Moaning isn't always a bad thing, most of the time it's actually good. Without the constant pressure and moaning aimed at the club to get this right (the set-up of our stadium and the atmosphere is the very worst thing about City!) they'll sit back and do nowt about it.

This sounds promising. As a Blue card member this season, who is used to moving all over the ground game by game, I'll really hope I can get a ticket in the newly available blocks.

Can someone tell me if 111, 110, and 109 are being moved around to where the away fans are?
I assumed the idea was you have a choice to move south if you want to.

There's no 108, 112, 120, 129 or 141.

On tele you very rarely see the City fans in the South Stand. Some have good flags in that area (they were all out on Weds against Napoli and I could see them clearly from my seat) but when I watched the game back on Sky+ I rarely caught a glimps of them. On NB's map of the Etihad above 109-111 should be - ahem - united (sorry about the word used) with the South Standers by swapping the South Standers around with the away fans so the away fans are in 116-118. Then all of our vocal fans would be together in 109-115 and the away fans are out of sight on tele but still close to the vocal fans on Level 1 to have the banter.

I've even really looked at the away coach park and all the police would need to do is change the angle of the police barriers outside the South Stand and that's it. Barely any change to anything.

This is what i thought. People who want to stand and sing can move there? Otherwise it will just be a fail as usual because you will get familys sitting there etc. The club need to make it obvious that it is a ''singing section''
