There's only one way this is going to work properly.

The club have to close the entrances to blocks 109, 110 and 111 and direct those fans, including me, to the 3 away blocks in the South Stand. If this doesn't happen people will just go to their normal seats. When the game starts the entrances should be open, and if people want and can be botherd to go to their normal seats, let them.

The club also needs to advertise this as much as possible. I would also suggest Ric makes a sticky thread about this, seeing as he's involved in it.

Many of us have asked for this. Once again we have another chance to see how this will pan out. If there is little or no interest, the club will finally kill this idea off. The choice is ours.

'One End full of 6000 Singing City fans or stay as it is until the ground is expanded.
You cant just walk in and pick a new seat you will have to phone up and change your seat, which is why we will struggle to get this to work.

If that's the case, it won't work. Haven't read all the threads.

If the club don't let fans into the away blocks without having to ringing up first, they're flogging a dead horse.

Just opend the blocks, direct fans into those 3 blocks, and leave the rest to them.
They would never do that as it would mean losing ticket sales on the 3 blocks left empty.

I sit in the east stand level 3 and I cant say I'm particularly thrilled at the thought of having to move next to some complete strangers. More so having to deal with the fucking awful ticket office in finding a suitable alternative seat, lets face it they will fuck this up one way or another.

Will all of the east stand level 3 be away fans only?
just 308 and 309 I think

I might be OK then, i sit in 306.

I like standing next to the away fans especially when it's a european night so I think this will be shit and hope it never happens permanently and I just can't see it making much of a difference to the atmosphere.

in fairness i do (except v napoli when one of them launched something into my chest) but we have to look at the greater good. its plain daft that our "kippax" is split in two.

It appears to me that whatever the Club do there's always someone moaning about it. They seem to be in a no-win situation.
It's no-win when they do things wrong. Moaning isn't always a bad thing, most of the time it's actually good. Without the constant pressure and moaning aimed at the club to get this right (the set-up of our stadium and the atmosphere is the very worst thing about City!) they'll sit back and do nowt about it.

But what I've heard from several people is that they are unhappy at having to move seats so that the away fans can have them. The main concern they seem to have is how are their new seats going to be allocated. Are the club just going to say you're sitting here or are they going to have to spend hours on the phone to get somewhere they want? God knows, it's bad enough as it is. I wouldn't be very happy if I had to do it.

you'll never keep 45,000 p-eople happy

even if they reduced ticket prices some will say its not enough

The problem on atmosphere is that we have two recognised main singing areas in South stand and East stand corner split by away fans. in other areas of the ground we have small areas up for singing, surrounded by soulless 'cardboard cutouts' who would rather remain silent until we score, then they might politely clap, if they can be bothered! These are the main culprits as to why the atmosphere is collectively shit!

The singing sections always stand and always create atmosphere. The perfect solution would be to bring back safe standing but that's another issue. I was in in North stand until having to relocate to block 109. Having been in there last season and now this, i have never actually sat in my seat whilst the game is on,so why do i or any other stander need a seat number?

Answer is i think, is to do away with seat numbers and let people stand/sit where they want. This will not only create a better atmosphere by allowing mates and singers in a more concentrated area, but also appease those who constantly nag for people to sit down in front of them.

What a fucking disgrace getting moved again.
keep the away fans where they are because moving them won't make the atmosphere any better. Fucking annoyed at this

216 DO bloody sing...

South stand upper is where the atmosphere is...
Again, it really REALLY isn't! You are outsung by the away fans on the same level 100% of the time. In fact I can't hear your part of the stadium, at all. I look around the stadium and see that no parts of the ground are anything like East/South corner Level 1 and South Stand Level 1 (I don't stand in either and I'm always slagging them off as it is so how shit does that make the rest of the ground?!). Level 2's in the same areas are like a different breed of fans to the Level 1. I don't ever see the movement of clapping hands or arms in the air and I never hear songs belted out and started by fans up there. There may well be a few singers up there but to say "that's where the atmosphere is" is fucking delusional!

Dan-You are talking bollocks mate. Napoli at home was immense up there as it when the away allocation is full up top..I am sorry but Wigan was pretty shit everywhere due to lack of away fans and Swansea at home was immense. We have a mob of about 20-30 blokes who stand to the rear of 216 and start all the chanting....Like you say I am not gonna slag any parts of the ground off but 216 SL2 and 110/111 are quite clearly the singing areas.

Exiled i sit 3 rows from front 216 and have to say that the atmosphere is shite - i agree that there are a good 15 - 20 at the rear who always try and get things going - problem is it rarely transends to the front (particularly when the ground is quiet). I join in every song, try and start a few and rarely others around join in - im not saying that to come across as the biggest blue in the stand, thats just how i see it. I am continually disapointed with 216 and think for a section that is next to the away fans on the whole it is poor.
IMO the weakness regarding the atmosphere is 216 and 116. 116 used to be the main singing area and declined since the corner (111) has become the dedicated area. If the corner and 116 were a bit more co-ordinated, joining in each others chants the atmosphere would improve.
Despite what ive said, the atmosphere isnt always poor and on many occassions is quite good. when the whole of 216 joins in, the ground usually rocks.

Go to the match support your team and stop with the fuckin 'itd be better if the club did this..'I might start an arse wiping company for you lot The clubs immense and you lot are slagging them for lack of atmosphere cmiu
