makes a lot of sense. from 117 i can never really hear away fans and at most i can only hear 1 or 2 songs from the singing section.

having sat in 238 a fair few times too you can hear both the south stand and singing sections & away fans a lot more clearly. always think that singing section sings more but south stand is a lot louder & sounds more impressive when on form.

imo people watching on tv tend to be able to judge the atmosphere better than those in the stadium.

It's also why wembley atmosphere is
Like a big muddy wall of noise a lot of the time. It's generally when a song starts behind the goal and swiftly spreads up both sides that you get the loud singing which everyone wants .lots of the time you can hardly hear yourself think yet the singing is undefinable . It's just a clash of different songs in the centre of the stadium.

I talked to a guy i work with who is a steward at city.

He says he has been told the away fans will never be moved because it's the safest way to get them in and out to the coaches and this is stated by the police so city don't have a say in the matter.

Now this could be bollocks but it's just what i was told.

I dont get why everyone bangs on about having "one end" and moving the away fans. If you were that bothered why dont we use level 1 of the north stand? because people are too obsessed with throwing wanker signs at away fans? I though the family stand was only level 2?

i get board of saying this but swap away fans and south stand their too far away from the coach park swap away fans and 110 and you have them coming out under a spiral and they would get pepperd to fuck plus the away fans on level two would have to use the spiral with city fans which again wouldnt work.

My guess is they will move the away fans to level 3 east stand. It would involve them having sole use of the spiral at that end to give them access to the away car park.
