meeting the players today at city store

Stories like this infuriate me.

Why on earth cant a player, earning a ludicrous amount of money for doing a job he loves, not spend more than an hour in the store with the fans? Its hardly a big ask, particularly given the performances by some of them of late

If it was up to me, once a week they would be made to visit a hospital/school/fans meeting after training. THEY ONLY WORK TWO BLINKING HOURS A DAY!!!!!!!!!!!

GGGGGRRRRRRRR

This is not good,we must let the club know our feelings on this, any members of the supporters club? can you complain through you branch?

To be fair, I think a lot of the time, its the self important "security" that are to blame.

I remember when my son was mascot, he chose Elano to walk out with onto the pitch, so off his own back Elano came and met us all before the game. When he was told my the City official that he was to leave, fair play to him , he was saying "No, two more minutes" and happily posed for photos with us.

Similarly, at the Live 4 City bash last year, Richard Dunne won player of the Year and collected his award...........he was more than happy to stay to sign autographs, but "security" tried to usher him away quickly, but to his credit Dunne stayed and signed them

As I say, there werent that many more people and they would have taken 10 more minutes to see, but the security were being nobs, someone should complain.

Security are always trying to usher the players away as quick as possible because they know the sooner the players are out of site the less they have to do, any player ive met has always been more then happy to sign autographs/get photos,

I would blame security first, club second and players last tbh

I was there, got there at bang on two and they were already telling us they might not see us, sad thing was they wasnt that many people there anyway and it would have took them all of ten minutes to see the rest, a group of kids accompanied by a couple adults turned up, all in City shirts, all with balls/photos etc ready to be signed and they all got turned away, this was at 2.10pm, felt really sorry for them these are the fans of the future !, they werent turned away by the players though, but by employees before theyd even got in the store.
