I think, maybe BigOscar could say, that Madrid are due half of any transfer fee for Garay so they may be holding out for his release clause fee to get the most they could; again i think, it's €20m.

Maybe a bit risky if he's in the last year of his deal but at that price he'd surely be worth a shot?

They do only get 50%, so have explored more "innovative" transfers, but I think there is a resignation that he's leaving for 15mE now, but it's getting confusing as to where. Bayern still looks the most nailed on, after lots of confusing stuff with Zenit. Still have no idea why there isn't an absolute free for all over him at the price he's going
