Melbourne City FC Thread

Lost 4:1 to Wellington in Townsville. Defence unbelievably weak.

Play Wanderers next week in the FFA Cup at home. Extremely concerned about the defence.

Won't make too many comments until the Wanderers game but not confident at all.

Confirmed signing Nicolas Colazo from Boca Juniors as Marquee. I think he is a left sided player that can play wide fullback or even forward. Could be a great addition.

Gameiro has ruptured his ACL for a third time. Not sure if we will see him again.

Playing tomorrow night which will be a great guide to see exactly where we are at.

On a positive, on paper we have a quality squad and for the first time have 5 visa players that are genuine starting players barring injury.

Staying optimistic but not confident.

Chin up, one more year before JVS is gone.

It's a very strange decision to go into a season and having the head coach already announce that this will be his last. It really can't build much confidence in the playing group knowing the headman won't be around long term.

If things don't go well early on he might get the ax but all up it makes little sense. Having said all that the list is pretty good only concern maybe a cb and lb short but in a capped League you can't have strength in all areas.

Actually excited about tonight.
