Melbourne City FC Thread

We can watch three CFG clubs live on Sunday. Yokohama FM are on FreeSports right after Melbourne's match at 10:00 and NYCFC are also on FreeSports at 23:00.
If you don't have BTSports, betting sites like Bet365 often show a live feed of A-League matches, with no annoying commentary.

What games are these league ? cup ?

Out of interest which commentary do you normally get, I just assumed it was our local from FOX.

Anyway not sure if this made the news, but the A League has signed a new TV rights with Paramount which owns a local free to air network. Without knowing too much it seems like an improvement from FOXTEL who have had the license for the last 15 years or so.

The Australian A League grand final is regarded the biggest game of the season. On level of importance it's what most (non soccer purists) would regard as being the champions of the season, similar superbowl or the world series in the U.S.

For me personally its the premiers plate, that is the team that finishes highest after the home and away season which we won.

Having said all that if a team wins both then they are obviously undisputed champions, therefore tomorrow's game is the biggest game in our clubs history and good be a defining moment for the next 15 to 30 years.

Nervous as fuck.

Best of luck.

I hope you win. Obviously.

On BTSport I assume it is Fox as the commentary is in Aussie. There is no commentary on Bet365.

It’s the final of the two teams that won through the playoffs, after the season has finished.

Basically, it’s a money-making exercise to line the coffers of the TV company(ies) that cover soccer in Australia.

So the league winners are not the winners of the most games but the ones who win the grand final which is after some play off games
