Is this game considered to be a derby???? Have no idea of the numbers of teams their locality and rivalries?? Will be watching the game in any case.

Sydney v Melbourne is always a big rivalry, but Melbourne city's derby is Melbourne Victory who played (and won) yesterday.

not a Derby because both Sydney and Melbourne are fairly far apart but there has always been a massive rivalry between Sydney and Melbourne, Melbourne victory is the main rivalry but its somewhat of a second rivalry for both Sydney teams

Found this link below,good old wiki,to be a good source of information myself....can only watch the First Half as off to watch Darlo at Prescot.....City just hit the bar.....Villa on bench,must be a good team to keep him out ;)

Could be a bit of a grudge match, Sydney didn't want Melbourne to play in sky blue cos its their colours.

the wanderers always have a better atmosphere at home, sydney fc supporters tend to be quiet and they dont have the best support in the league (3 best at best)
