I just went on to their forum, most seemed chuffed to bits, the main gripe they seem to have is the possible kit colours change, which is understandable.

There is one nob though, called DieHardRed, who seems to be very angry about the takeover because he's a Utd fan. Exactly what does his support for Melbourne Heart have to do with them *****? If I was a Heart fan I'd be questioning his loyalty.

Lot of them have signatures with European clubs pics over there. It's 4 years old club, they've barely started to grow up any loyalty for their club, I'm pretty sure lot of them get more excited when they European team wins.

Mate, for quite a number of us, the heart is our number one team. Regardless of how young we are, let me make it clear, our team has a loyal and dedicated supporter base who although small in number are prepared to fight hard to keep our colours.

I was pumped the other morning watching Sunderland beat the rags, but nothing comes close to the emotion I've experienced at AAMI Park, especially when we beat the mongs in the Christmas derby a few years back. I've seen Sunderland live a few times when I've been in the UK, but Heart have my full support and loyalty. We may only be a few years old, but we're a passionate bunch. :-)

Good post. No answer to it. Those "stone bake" look like Declerque muffins to me.
What about Declerque muffins? Oven-bottom muffins on steroids. Not for the southern barm barbarians.

I think we should listen to the views of the fans, be very reasonable - and tell him to fuck off!

Re: MCFC buy Melbourne Heart FC (merged)

I wonder what will happen to ex-pat City fans who have followed other A-league teams over the years, especially Melbourne Victory supporters. I have followed Perth Glory( albeit on a casual, odd game and TV basis) and suddenly have a slight quandary. I know what I'll be doing but what about others. Also what Rags that follow Heart now. Just asking.

Re: MCFC buy Melbourne Heart FC (merged)

Is anyone of you guys the bloke wearing the City away jersey at the Adelaide vs Melbourne Heart game?

Re: MCFC buy Melbourne Heart FC (merged)

Heart go one down in the 22nd minute.

Re: MCFC buy Melbourne Heart FC (merged)

I think this thread has highlighted some of the important issues that really need to be addressed going forward.

Forget muffin or barm. I'd call it a roll myself.

It's true that a lot of them already have a PL team, but I don't think that that's true at all. A lot of them seem very passionate about their club, and they have the same gallows humour we had back in the Dark Days. Their support is just fine.

Oh, and just to contribute to the argument. It's a sandwich. Not a muffin. Not a barm. Not a batch or bap. It's called a "sandwich".
