Melbourne City FC Thread

Re: MCFC buy Melbourne Heart FC (merged)

I think the new manager might have something to do with it. Not sure if we had anything to do with that, he came in a week or so before the takeover was announced.

The only way City can have affected the club is by creating a kind of buzz.. It´s still the same team
Unless we have told Heart to pay substantial bonuses for wins ;D

From the sounds their former manager (Aloisi) was incredibly bad. So getting rid of him (whether we were involved or not) seems to have worked out very well.

Has your new manager changed the way you play, formation for instance? What formation do you play?

Re: MCFC buy Melbourne Heart FC (merged)

Just wanted to say that I watched the game live and every single goal was a right doozie. Three of them smashed in from outside the area. I thoroughly recommend you all watch the highlights video linked in the post above mine.

Also worth noting that 5-0 is the Heart's biggest ever win, home or away, it's the first time they've scored 5 in a competitive game and Williams got Heart's first ever competitive hattrick.

Re: Melbourne Heart FC Thread

JVS has done something pretty crazy and unknown.. He is actually starting to play players in their proper and preferred positions.
John aloisi had no idea what he was doing

They are doing better because the players are shown pics of what the weather is like in Manchester and gets the message that "This could be your next stop unless you win tonight" I reckon..

But seriously, It´s a mystery but suddenly everything ticks..

Changed the coach , i think!

Given that the deal to buy their club took the better part of a year I'd say that we were probably consulted, or at the very least advised, on the change in manager.
