Memorable City passes/assists

I think I've remembered all this correctly but could be wrong.

David Rocastle against Ipswich at Maine Road about 94. In front of the Main Stand did 2 drag backs and turned 360 degrees and a burst of pace took out 3 defenders then he pulled off a pin point cross for Carl Griffiths to sweep the ball into the net

Not only did it not get much of a mention, but one pundit ****(can't remember who) said it was just proof that he had no right foot.

I`ve just watched it again stony and I was incorrect.It was with the outside of his left peg.Still doesn`t take away the sublime pass that it was.

He most certainly was and I was right in front of it in the Main Stand that day.

I've managed to find a video of the bit of skill but not the goal

I knew what you meant mate. It was wonderful technique and all it drew from certain quarters was derision that he couldn't use his right foot. I loved Negredo, until he got injured he was just the perfect fit for our team. Some players arrive at the right moment and click straight away, and so it was with him and us. It made it all the sweeter because almost every single pundit was saying he'd be a flop and Spurs had bought the better player in Soldado who scored just 7 goals in 2 years at Spurs. Not the first time we've heard that though. I seem to recall everyone laughing and saying Paulinho was better than Fernandinho and we had been shafted. ****s.

He started his career with Shrewsbury Town in 1988, and after being voted onto the PFA Team of the Year, moved on to Manchester City for £500,000 in October 1993. In August 1995 he transferred to Portsmouth for £200,000
