Summerbee to Neil Young in the cup final against Leicester in 1960 something. Inch perfect and what a finish.
One of my all time favourite City players until he did his shoulder in and he never looked the same player after. For a big man he had some wonderful subtle touches and one of my favourite goals was against Spurs (5th goal I think) in that 6-0 drubbing of them.I knew what you meant mate. It was wonderful technique and all it drew from certain quarters was derision that he couldn't use his right foot. I loved Negredo, until he got injured he was just the perfect fit for our team. Some players arrive at the right moment and click straight away, and so it was with him and us. It made it all the sweeter because almost every single pundit was saying he'd be a flop and Spurs had bought the better player in Soldado who scored just 7 goals in 2 years at Spurs. Not the first time we've heard that though. I seem to recall everyone laughing and saying Paulinho was better than Fernandinho and we had been shafted. ****s.
Brilliant goal mate! And to think we had him and Dzeko vying to partner Kun that season. One of my all time favourite City players until he did his shoulder in and he never looked the same player after. For a big man he had some wonderful subtle touches and one of my favourite goals was against Spurs (5th goal I think) in that 6-0 drubbing of them.
Benarbia
Our fourth goal...Milner's great cross field pass to Johnson to start the move, and ending with Milner scoring from about 20 yards.
David White to Andy Hinchcliffe for number 5
Silva s through ball to Milner for a goal v Everton,he held the ball for ages waiting to slide the pass through perfectly, holding off 2/3 defenders in the process then reverse passing it.We won 2-0 and it was September 2011 and I realised that day we may win the league I was amazed at our performance to beat what was a bogey team at the time.
