you HORRIBLE scumbag

Dont think he is saying rape is ok, He is trying to make a comparrison of sentances. Think it was more a case of badly worded
Yep. Another one to have compared it to would have been the kids who put on Twitter they were going to riot in Northwich, a silly stunt that got them 3 years in prison. That's 3 years for sending a tweet. I think Lee Hughes only served 3 years of his 6 year stretch for killing someone whilst high as a kite, and legging it from the scene.

Really its the law that needs changing as you cannot commit murder or manslaughter with a car in this country is just falls under dangerous driving which has a low maximum sentence which in most cases would be right. That said rape should be life in prison anyway

So comparing someone who was speeding and accidently caused an accident with someone speeding and actively trying to cause an incident is wrong as it's irrelevant. But comparing it to someone done for tweeting is some how relevant?

Your logic baffles me.

Agreed. Especially the last part.

Pity some people do not do their research. There is a motoring code DD60 which is manslaughter or culpable homicide whilst driving a motor vehicle.

Also, speed within itself is not a negligible act. Strictly speaking, the conviction should not have therefore stood.

Those who know that road, or those who have watched that CCTV, will know that the other driver would have had a clear view of CMW approaching, and should have adjudged the speed and made a decision as to whether to pull out. The negligent call was by the other driver.
The driver pulled out when CMW was too close.
Further, those who say had he been driving at thirty then the accident may not have happened; it probably would have really as there is still insufficient stopping time for him.
Those who say that there would have been no deaths at 30, I ask this; a large Mercedes impacting the side of a small Nissan Micra? Even at thirty there would have probably been serious injuries and/or death.

For those who are calling him a scumbag...have you never exceeded the speed limit? Have you never purposely attempted to cause someone who was too close to you to have a high speed crash, knowing that it would possibly have resulted in someone's death and your conviction for manslaughter or culpable homicide?

Tazmancblue has it spot on

As for Santiago Street. You're being foolish and craving attention. In what way can he be described as a nasty little scumbag? For what reason?

Too many people judge people's actions by the consequences that follow. That is wrong.

Judge someone by their actions and actions alone, what happens after that is an accident in this case. His actions were stupid and careless but he didn't mean for what happened. It's important that's not lost and that's why the sentence was the length it was

If you do that then all of us who drive are "nasty little scumbags" as we all have done and continue to do exactly what CMW did that night.

The little **** was pissing about racing his friend in another car moments before the crash. This isn't consistent with your portrayal of poor liitle Courtney and his oh so unfortunate accident.

There's a difference between a normal motorist exceeding the speed limit on occasion and the wanton recklessness of jumped up little pricks like Courtney. The difference being that the decent majority of people ease back when circumstances dictate.

"He didn't mean for what happened".

So if I "stupidly" and "carelessly" punch you and you smash your head on the pavement and die, that's ok is it, just an unfortunate accident ? Slap on the wrist, don't do it again son.

Why's he a scumbag you unbelievably ask. Because he had more regard for the fun he was having pissing about in his car than for the safety of those poor people who died.

I would suggest that Tazmancblue is menace on the roads and not just a shit driver, but an extremely dangerous one.

A bar room lawyer who has, it would seem, tried to kill many people for having the temerity of driving too close to him.

If he had watched the programme, maybe the message from the presenter would somehow have percolated into his brain.

Maybe he's taking the piss, I don't know. I have read his post a few times now, but If his final paragraph is serious, then, jeez, he is a statistic waiting to happen. Unfortunately, if he really does drive as badly as that, then he is going to fuck up not only his own life at some point, but he will sure as hell take someone with him.

In all honesty, I find it hard to believe that someone would try and kill someone because their driving is not to their liking. It beggars belief. It really does.

If you read the entire thread you will see that it was someone else who was criticising cmw but it was that person who had tried to cause an accident on a motorway. It was not me that drove in that way. But I will accept your apology for the libellous comments you have made. Otherwise, this bar room lawyer may help you discover I'm more than bar room and see you in court....

I watched this on Catch up this morning.

Anyone who defended him on here have clearly been proven wrong.

I felt fucking horrendous for that poor family. That nissan micra was like a bannana.

16 months for that..I actually felt sorry for CMW as you could tell he was genuinely sorry and of course didn't mean to kill them but he should have thought about that before driving at those speeds.

18YRS old with a Mercedes injection.......
