Merson: "If Tevez had pld City would've already won it"

If Tevez played City would drop 25 points not 15 and would be 3-4th, not because Tevez is not a quality player - he is a quality player, but because Tevez undermines the remainder of the team making the overall team weaker, not stronger.

So he IS a STRONG PLAYER (individually) but in a team he is a distructive force which would neutralize all the other great players city has.

We have won 63 out of a possible 78 points, dropping just 15 points.

United have dropped 17 points.

Let's say for one moment, that City would have dropped less with Tevez, in fact, go to the extreme and say wouldn't have dropped any points. (I disagree).

The earliest possible time that City could mathematically win the league (assuming we had won every game) is after 33 games. With 99 points, to United's 82 (assuming United win all their games from now on).

So, as if we didn't already know, Merson is talking utter tosh. At least, if he thinks we would have won more points with Tevez, fine. I don't have a problem with that, though I disagree. But he should refrain from stupid sweeping statements that lack any factualities.

If he even tried reading that his head would explode.
The guy is severely lacking intelligence.
He was blessed with a career in football and even fucked that up.
If he was a coked up pisshead in your local he'd be trying to sell you
shoplifted meat.

You have hit the head on the nail 100% spot on, the Tevez apologists will demand your head on a stick for telling the truth though.

i can't wait for that **** to drink himself to death and shut the fuck up.

Absolutely!

I used to love watching him marauding up the pitch causing mayhem amongst defenders. Then I realised that Mancini was asking the team to tactically pull defences around and create accurate opportunities on goal. We don't need him, play him once or twice as a very last minute sub at the end of the season.

Let's face it. Tevez is a quality player. If he had just apologised and not fucked off to Argentina it is possible that the results against Chelsea, West Brom, Sunderland, Everton could have been different as we have seen Tevez change games with scrappy goals time and time again.

We'll never know though.

We do know though.... He fucked off after refusing to play/warm up. Therefore he abandoned his team/team mates, so they had to play without him. Weakening the team in a time of need.

(not a dig at you Jumanji)

Back on topic, Merson is a c*nt.

Merson said at the start of the season said that we would finish third but only if tevez stayed and lower than third if we didn't. Sums out how much his opinion is worth. He loves tevez because (a) he used to play for united and (b) he runs around a lot and, due to merson's complete ignorance relating to all football related matters, he is unable to recognise any other qualities. Last year he was saying he didn't rate yaya, silva as world class. They were good players but not in the same bracket as "your stevie g's and your Wayne rooneys." It's amazing to think that the likes of Merson, Thompson etc are paid to talk about something they know nothing about just because they used to play it in a different era and have clear leanings towards certain teams. It's a bit like making Arthur scargill chief political correspondent for sky news.
