Metal Music Appreciation Thread:

I am old school/first generation when it comes to Mekkul bands. In fact, most would likely be classed as 'Hard Rock' really. Sabbath, Priest, Motorhead etc.

Two more recent acts that I have really liked though are Rammstein and Ghost.

Ghost are fucking brilliant, show, songs, all of it.

Don’t get a metal head started on whether they are metal or not though. It’ll have you banging your head on a wall

Of the gigs I didn't expect to go to, tonight I saw a few great bands (disclaimer I love atmospheric black, 2nd vid)
A taiwanese band supporting 2 russian ones here in Poland, which is geopolitically messed up but hey ho, I wouldn't have gone if the Russians weren't out againt the special operation, and a lot of the money is going to Ukrainian needs so.

These were great fun.

And Ultar who I went for were on point as well.

The only downside is the club here for such gigs is called Liverpool.

Arch Enemy:

Eths:

Jinjer:

Spiritbox:

Loved Spiritbox's first ep's.

Thought eternal blue was a bit meh at the start but it really grew. Then the new ep had a poor start for me but ended on a proper banger harking back to the Mara Effect. Overall a quality band and one of my favourites right now.

Jinjer are just class, but definitely prefer Arch Enemy with Angela, she was an unreal live performer
