Don’t get a metal head started on whether they are metal or not though. It’ll have you banging your head on a wall

One of my favourite bands is Blue Oyster Cult. I hear a similar sound in Ghost ... daft image aside.

What does everyone feel is the best way to stream metal music nowadays? Have a large collection myself still which I have loaded up into itunes over a decade ago, but streaming is more convenient.

Or should be. I have Amazon prime but prime music hardly every works properly with android auto, and many of the less known bands (but still hardly new or unknown) such as in this thread are not listed on the platform at all. YouTube has much more but unless you're a premium member it stops on closing. But I really don't want to have to subscribe to yet another costly service.

Yeah that was written around 2009. I was the bassist.

That song was written with our vocalist from 2002-2006 (when we were a lot heavier) as a bit of a one off, we never really found someone to replace him so we've got loads of songs written that haven't really gone further than SoundCloud as demo's without any vocals on. We were practising/looking for a vocalist until about 2012 I'd say but it just fizzled out in the end as we couldn't really find what we were looking for. A shame as there's some really good music written.

Fortunately we had the same drummer for years but yeah with a singer we were looking for something very specific and after years of going for more aggressive vocals we wanted something a bit cleaner but most people who want to sing in a metal band want to shout!
