Metrolink for WBA game

The metrolink was the cheaper answer to the underground system. Simple as.

The plans were in place and there are underground tunnels in MCR however the Govt at the time didn't want to fund it, so along came the Metrolink.

It's been good for daily commuting from Bury into Town but for anything else it's been shit as it hasn't ever been considered an option for nights out in town due to decent clubs/bars not becoming lively until 2am.

Fuck the high speed rail line, we want an underground just like most top cities

Manchester it seems is just pretending to be a top city. It's public transport is fucking shit

After any match the first tram to Ashton is always a single, leaving many fans stranded on the platform, when I questioned the wisdom of this I was greeted with a wall of silence, basically they don't give a flying.
Caught the tram to the PSG game from Droylsden. There were announcements about possible delays due to the match but guess what? A single tram! had to literally squeeze my way on it.
Metrolink are a joke of a company imo.

Hope they fix the bloody thing before the Madrid match - the whole network is down at present.

Lets face it the thing is not fit for purpose and if it was in London these problems would not occur.

There is not a week goes by without some form of disruption.

METROSTINK

Proper bag of shit

I've lost count of the number of times my daughter has to come home from Alty on the bus cos the fuckin tram isn't working. This is made ten times worse by the traffic situation heading north out of Alty being worse than New York rush hour

Fix it you cunts - spend more money on trams moving and less money on the ever expanding number of Gestapo like ticket inspectors

The inspectors are overkill. I get it to work everyday from Hollinwood and it when stops at Newton Heath sometimes the platform has about 10 ticket inspectors and 5 coppers pile on checking tickets. what a waste of time and money. They should be spending it on fixing the ticket machines that barely ever work (but doesn't stop the Gestapo from still fining people), and Improving the service. Sick of single trams turning up at 5 and being squashed up against a window for half an hour next to some scruffy twat who has obviously Shit his pants.

Managed to get a lift tonight. Will be a nightmare tomorrow if it goes down again
