Metrolink to / from Etihad

Myself and Blue Mist will be giving this lot of wankers absolute pelters later on today.
Ha ha. Actually I won't.......
A few on this thread have said 'just catch the No. 10 bus.'
Today 3 of us left different parts of the ground, one due to a bad leg gets the tram from the ground, the other walks into town and gets the tram.
Me ? I got the number 10*. I was in the pub a good 10 minutes before both of them.
The tram is history, the bus is the future.

*the match day bus

Very rarely get the tram but thought i’d give it a go today with an 8yr old.

Going home from Exchange square to Rochdale was a 25min wait.
Twenty five f*cking minutes!!!!!!

Could not get on the 1st or 2nd tram due to overcrowding but managed to get on the 3rd.

Interesting experience in the bloody cold which i can honestly say now that they have 1000000000% lost another 2 passengers for the foreseeable future.

It is shit mate and getting worse.

Was weird after the game today, all gates locked so no admission down the steps.but no information about arrivals on any screens so nobody had any clue how long the wait was. Then the staff should you dare ask them for any information had an automatic aggressive reaction to being asked any questions about the service they were supposedly managing, leaving hundreds of people with no clue what the fuck was going on!

What I've started to notice is that one line is ok but then another one suffers as a consequence. Sounds like it was yours today. I think they struggle to facilitate the published schedule for whatever reason. Regardless, it's a poor show on a regular basis. I'll guarantee the tossers in charge of it never use it.

Hmmm no not really. Alti trams that don't go to the Etihad on match days but do go after 7pm on non match days. That's is not infrequent, that's piss poor planning.
It could have been far better designed, not every service had to go through town, that there London has circular routes, we could have had the new route from the airport terminating before town.
Again, piss poor planning.
Alty!

Alty trams go to the Etihad after 8 on midweek, after 6 on Saturday and all day on Sunday. At all other times, there’s a service from Etihad to Media City. So the frequency is the same at all times.

You’re right in there is more they can do, particularly with trams that currently terminate at Piccadilly.

But really, having a service that changes from daytime to evening time really isn’t a problem once you know when it runs.

I must a admit that the two pissed up rags who always sprout shit at the New Islington stop for two hours after every match, make the delays that much more bearable.

What was be deal with the “fast track” queue yesterday? It was stretching as far back as the Coop Live building when I walked past.

People getting in the wrong queue, maybe? It’s not very clear for newbies. Hopefully they’ll do something when all the construction is finished.

They are brain dead as an organisation. Got a Piccadilly double unit from Navigation Road just after 1pm and got off it when it reached Cornbrook.

The board there had an single unit Ashton tram arriving in 1 minute and a single unit Etihad tram at 5 minutes.

So passengers who had basically filled a double unit tram that had started from Altrincham were expected to cram into a single unit tram heading to the stadium.

They as an organisation are simply not fit for purpose and are irresponsible with regards to passenger wellbeing.

The people of Manchester deserve better than this pile of shit.

And another thing.

Those “temporary” barriers for queuing to get the tram back to town are a bad reflection on what we wish to portray ourselves as, as a Club.

When the new stand opens are they just going to add more of those trip hazard eyesores?

Not sure why anyone would get the tram to Rochdale which takes 50 minutes when there are regular trains that only take 15 minutes?

I don't think it would take that much to tweak the Alty-Etihad service so that on match days it starts at 6pm midweek and also 2 hours before the Sat ko time.

Why does it not run during the day to Ashton from Alty ? It can be done in the evening why not when it matters.
Further, my point was about lack of planning. Every new line has to go into Manchester, why? It means the pinch points at Cornbrook and St Peters Sq really struggle.
Is Stockport goes ahead, that is also likely to use those stops.
There is lack of investment and planning
