Fylde coast blue travelling to the next home match against Palace. After the last match it took nearly 3 hours to get home by car, due to traffic. Thinking of coming by train to Piccadilly, and then by Metro link to the Etihad. How long does it usually take after a match to get back to Piccadilly by Metro?

Thank you in advance.

If you're on the train from Blackpool, get off at Deansgate & board the tram from there. You won't get on at Piccadilly as they're all wedged full from Piccadilly Gardens.

Much quicker walking back to Pic. The metro is hopeless after the match. If you are getting the train in and back suggest using the park and ride at Horwich Parkway. That's the way I come in and it avoids all the M60 traffic chaos. It is also free parking.

Walk, miles quicker.

Thanks to everyone for your replies. Previously I used to park at an unofficial match day car park on Cambrian st. However this season it has to be pre-booked. Does anyone have their contact details to do this?
Once again thanks in advance.

Are you fit and able?

It’s about a 25 minute walk from the Etihad to Piccadilly Station. Quicker if you’re a fast walker. You’d be waiting longer than that in the queue for the Met after the game.

You’d be lucky to find a taxi, but they’re only £5 back to Picc Stn if you do find one.

I’ve never got the bus back, not sure on that one.

But you can wait around 20-30 mins in the queue for the Met and then it takes about 8 mins on the Met back to Picc Stn.
