Metrolink to the stadium

and so it begins again. I thought last years conspiracy theories about Reds in the Metrolink repair dept. were bonkers, 'till I saw this....

I'm all up for an agenda but I think you've read this wrong. The link is saying that there is an almost full service only Exchange Sq & Trafford to Picc are effected.

So once again you can't get a tram from alty to town on a matchday.

Wonder if they're trying to beat last seasons record.

If you are travelling from Altrincham, Eccles or East Didsbury you are terminated at Cornbrook.

There is a replacement bus service to Piccadilly (Ha Ha try getting a tram load of people on a bus).

So the only option is to get the rail service to Manchester via Stockport (Buses take for ever) then get on the tram at Piccadilly or walk to the stadium from there.

I have e-mailed the club on numerous occasions about the Metrolink service (should I have said lack of service) but to no avail they seem powerless to influence the situation.

We had all these complaints last year.

The best times to do metrolink work is at the weekend as you don't have the commuting traffic.

When city are at home they don't do work on the North Manchester lines

When united are at home they don't do work on the South Manchester lines.

It's annoying but it's no conspiracy and makes perfect sense to do what they are doing.

Doesnt make sense to have a shit service for South Manchester City fans or North Manchester rags.

It's about where the stadiums are.

They have to do it at the weekend and it's the least disruptive way of doing work on the line.

Well it's pretty fucking disruptive to me. Last year was worse, when they barely publicised it resulting in a few occasions where I'd catch the train in and see blues waiting on the tram line waiting for a tram that was never coming. And doing maintenance on game day, and having a full service on the other weekend day.

Load of bollocks.

1) I've yet to get on one replacement bus that was busy.

2) What the flying fuck has it go to do with City? And, in the flying fuck do you expect City to do about it?
