Micah Richards the pundit

Izzy Christiansen?
merry christmas to you too :)

yes ,that's the lady, knowledgeable and insightful , i remember watching MNF they had martinez on, now people might not rate him as a manager but his knowledge and tactics when showing in game move was great, instead of the usual neville and carragher waffling, skysports could be so much better , same as talksport , but they seem to go with a "The sun" attitude all drama and controversy than tactics and insight.

imagine instead of cundy and ohara they could swap with explayers with a bit of knowledge the phone in shows would be brilliant and imo would attract bigger audiences

He’s fine for entertainment value but he should veer away from attempting technical analysis. It’s like me trying to masquerade as a Harvard student.

Feel guilty saying this but Mourinho is one of the most interesting to listen to in this regard.

He said Arsenal missing Saliba during the run in was a big factor for their collapse. I honestly don’t see the problem with what he said. Their back ups compared to Saliba are bang average.
No not that, he was going on about why City are so successful and it was very haphazard and just sounded like a load of clichés rolled into one. I like him, he's got that X factor likeable persona, but unfortunately, he's a shocking pundit!

Wish Nedum would take over from Micah. Another level.

Totally agree. Nedum happens to be black, but that's neither here nor there. He is one of the most articulate, balanced, and perceptive commentators around. In my view, he is streets ahead of virtually any other analyst. He's fond of City, obviously, (and a boyhood fan, which Micah never was) but he gets the balance between showing that fondness and being clear-sighted right far more often than not. If he were to get the gig, it would be on merit. He's a very intelligent young man.
Micah laughs a lot, and his laugh is infectious, and I suppose the powers-that-be thought, “Let's get someone sunny onto the team”.
As a general principle, I'd only have pundits analysing matches involving teams that they weren't formerly involved with for most of their career. But hey, I don't subscribe to Sky or BT, so it doesn't matter a lot to me either way.

Also agree. You don't have to like someone to recognise that sometimes they're talking sense. Very unwillingly — because I intensely dislike him — I have slowly been obliged to recognise that Keane is often worth listening to.
By the way, I've always assumed that you got your doctorate from Harvard. Didn't you? Get outta here…

Shit white pundit = Shit pundit.
Shit black pundit = Box ticker.

Oh, let's face it, there are plenty of shit white pundits who tick boxes, too. I have literally never heard Michael Owen say an interesting thing on television. Sometimes, I listen just for fun, saying to myself “Go on, might he actually say something that I didn't know and hadn't seen with my own eyes?” Nope. Never.
