Micah Richards the pundit

Isn’t this the point where the usual suspects chirp-up that the joke’s on the rest of us because the big lump is making loads of money?

The problem for Nedum though is that most football punditry has gone the dumbed down route of Bantz.tv which allows the clowns like spitty, ratboy et al to make a living.

That’s been my point with the CBS/Paramount+ coverage since inception. Henry was their big guest, with Carragher and Richards rounding out the panel. Kate Abdo, now Scott, while a United fan, is a pretty good host (albeit she turns every one into a fashion show!), but instead of being a guardrail, I think her bosses tell her to play it up for the Bantz.tv crowd they’re attracting!

I have literally stopped watching the pre-game, half time, and post-game shows, because they’re so cringe.

I was watching the highlights of RM an IM in the CL. I think it was CBS stream, the pundit wa a (not so) funny Geordie saying things like " he needed that like a shark needs a dentist". What a moron!!

I was a very early detractor and find him to be the stereotype of the “gobby footballer” of his era, spouting nonsense at volume 11, and playing the “everyone’s friend” clown for the laughs. He brings almost ZERO football knowledge to the game and has traded stories of his time at City during the new era for an ascending place in the punditry arena…with the know-nothing crowd.

If I can add to that, Joe Hart is a also showing his football knowledge on MOTD and certainly shows how poor Richards is.

Kate was much better on the boxing coverage when she didn't have to babysit her co-hosts. She's a good presenter (and nice to look at)

When I saw the name, I thought of Alan Hudson, who played for Chelsea and Stoke.

What a great name he was.

And like so many wonderfully skilful players, criminally underused by England.

They had a wonderful team way back in the late 60s early 70`s with the likes of Bonetti,Osgood the Harris brothers etc.

I only remember Ron "Chopper"

Baldwin, Tambling, Hutchinson, McReady.

I can’t believe how easily these names came to mind, even after all these years.

It’s the same with the dirty Leeds team of the same time.

I vaguely remember an article in Shoot magazine around the time talking about Chelsea's "H" men.
Harris, Hollins, Hutchinson, Hudson, Houseman but no mention of Hosgood.

If I remember correctly when Joe Mercer took the England job as an interim he played Hudson.

I`m almost certain that the other Harris I`m on about played fullback and I think it was Alan Harris ??
