He's now part of the Lineker-Shearer-Richards MOTD inner circle. His main calling card being he was a City player pre and post 2008 and so can roll out stories about Balotelli and Mancini, for example, which no one else in the media currently can - as though this somehow increases his relevance. Basically, everything is a joke to him and he's always searching for a funny retort rather than making a considered point.

He's a production quality hoover. His very presence on anything demeans the whole product.

I noticed that last season when he was hyping them up. Never saw him as impartial pundit that Neville is majority of times.
