If we want to be up with the best[so called] eg: chelsea,liverpool,arsenal,trafford,Real Madrid and Barca etc ,would Richards get in their team? I don't think so .I like the guy[apart from his bling and dubious fashion taste] but he does'nt do the basic things that well[ie defending and cutting out crosses]--He gets forward well and is a great header of the ball but somehow seems to have not progressed.I think i prefer Zab on balance. Sadly, Tony Book was better than both of em!

Decent in the first half but very lazy in the second half doesn't put a tackle in when theres a chance and stands off his man far too much. Im guessing he's getting in the team at the minute due to his ability in the air.

For those that watch the whole game, and not just the player of your dislike. Richards was left hopelessly exposed second half by the fact that SWP gave him no help whatsoever. He was frequently having to cover 2 players, and even had a row with Toure about it, who then had a row with SWP. At one point even Adebayor came back and helped, but rarely did SWP, now this might not be SWP's fault either, but something was badly wrong down that side second half, and Richards was as much victim as sinner.

Oh and first half they are all close to MH and the bench, but second half miles away, maybe some connection there, maybe they were all doing their job right while close to the bench, and then second half doing their own thing.

Considering a season ago two of those clubs were after him then yes, yes he would. Give the lad time ffs, he still plays for the U21s.

youre right, in the second half we seemed to lose our shape a bit. swp was over on the left a lot and ireland seemed to be playing on the right when de jong came in.

I think micah had a decent game, as he did against blackburn.

He just doesn't do the basics well enough. He doesn't stop the ball being crossed into the danger area often enough. Oh and his tracking back is legendary.
