What has happened to his forward runs? in the league winning season he was as good as anyone in the league at them, now his runs are aimless and offer nothing.

Please tell me that comment is not based on his 65 minutes after being out for a few months.

Make me understand that you have an ounce of common.
easy there tiger, a bit too much coffee this morning I presume?
I'm clearly not talking about fitness, more about willingness to get forward.

That's just his problem. He lacks abillity to read the game. He often is (too) eager to run foreward and does so blindly. Yesterday he was overrunning Navas who had to go inwards more often than he liked. It was until Pellegrini told Richards to stop going foreward and that's when Navas excelled again. Think he ran out of steam as well, but I'll take that after such a lengthy spell out through injury.

But Zaba runs beyond Navas a lot too, IMO the types of runs he makes forwards aren't the same as they use to be. So he seems to have stopped doing them altogether, and by the looks of what Pellegrini wants from his fullbacks that is not going to get him in the team.

not total recall though ;-)

Either Micah is much smaller off the pitch or you and your lovely mrs are quite a size.

Decent defenders often mature late, Zab looked a squad player all be it a very useful one up until a couple of years ago.
All players need game time you can see the benefit players like Kolarov are getting now they have it. Zab himself made the major mistakes that cost us against Cardiff at the beginning of the season. Richards has in my view shown on several occasions in the past he has the makings of an outstanding defender, he has spent most of the past 18 months injured with little game time.
If he has got over his injuries and that is a significant if I think he is a must keep for the squad. Highly talented club trained players are something we lack and we need to maintain a decent sized champions league squad.
Let's hope he remains injury free and can show us what he can do.

City fan - excellent post mate- i totally agree.
I remember being worried every time zab turned out, he was a red card waiting to happen at one point but as you state hes matured, i think a lot on here are underating Micah massively.
I can imagine there would be enough left wingers that dont like playing against his power and presence .

I also think our full backs attack that much nowadays that ther is very little defensively for them to do, we're often just left with the two c/h to cope and maybe a bit of protection. From a midfielder.

Micah is also a massive asset defending and attacking set peices , something zab definately isn't tbf.

@MicahRichards: januzaj is class!

Micah once again bigging up opposition players on twitter. Unprofessional and indicative of a small time mentality. Can only give opponents encouragement when we play against them. What would everyone think if Rio Ferdinand was saying the same about Dzeko and Negredo? Surely Rag players is where the line should be drawn.

On second thoughts, I agree, I think next time he should go through the whole United team and consider how many of them would get in our side.
