Micah Richards

Very poor today, poor going forward, partially at fault for their second (with Clichy, NOT Demicheles).

Zabba walks back into the side as per.

Those that are having a go at him, tell me 5 mistakes that he made.

1 mistake in a crucial match is to many, so the fact you had to say 5 to back him up says it all!

maybe if demichelis had tried a bit better to try and stop whoever crossed the ball Micah wouldn't have made the mistake.

That goal is on Micah and Gael

Richards was great today . I don't get why people are having a go at him. Navas killed his runs, Notice when Milner came in that wing became more chances came from that wing because Milner knows when Richards wants to bomb forward and understands when to give the ball to him. IMO whenever we play Richards we should also play Milner , They understand themselves far better than a Navas/ Richards or Milner/Zaba partnership.

more in agreement with this than with the boo-boys in this thread today.

Richards was enormous in the demolition of ManUre in the 1-6 both defensively and offensively, and had he of been the other side of the post today with his side-footed effort you'd all be congratulating him.

we lost today because of gifting away two goals & our own bad luck in taking our chances; on another day perhaps Kompany would have started if we weren't playing at Barca next week, but to single out Micah in this game isn't deserved.

He wasn't even close to hitting the target.

How on earth was he totally responsible for the second??? It clichy that was asleep at the back post.

Richards could have stopped the cross. He didn't do it.

The club jester gets an outing and again proves why he wont be getting a new contract.
Sell as he is simply not good enough.
All this fucking sentiment. What a load of shit. Get the fuck rid

Insane thread,

Richards had nothing to do with the loss, and was one of our better defenders, and attackers.

You come out with some right shit at times, Marvellous.

was thinking the same...better attackers?? he did fuck all going forward and was out of position quite often at the back too!!

Agreed felt he was a liability today. I kept thinking where is our right back? Most condemning of all is that if Zab had played they would not have scored. MDM is not a fullback and had to cover Micha too many times (BTW silly tackle by MDM - stupid) but he would not be one on one three yards from the touchline where our rb should be and as for the second, this putting your hands behind your back and just allowing a wide man to pick his cross out is terrible. Sorry to say it but he has to go.

if zaba or vinnie didn't stop the cross would that make him shit?

His head is not right.

In the second half today, Wigan had a goal kick, and he was shouting at the other three in the defensive line to move up past the half way line where he was stood. That would have left two players in our half for the 'keeper to kick to, as you can't be offside from a goal kick.

Not long after, Demichelis was shouting at him to come back and cover a player because Clichy was down by their corner flag and Lescott was covering for him, therefore Demi' had to be aware that he might have needed to shift across to cover Lescott which would have left a man free. Demi' kept shouting at Richards, who was wanting to run off to join the attack, not to run off and to keep an eye on the situation. He had to shout three times as Richards kept starting to run off up front.
The attack did break down, Leacott did have to go and cover for Clichy so Demichelis and Richards did need to shift along. I just don't know what Richards was thinking. It was like he didn't understand.
