Keep him and throw him on in injury time as a centre forward when we need a goal. Opposition defences would be terrified. I might have just thought of a new role for him.

An utterly disgraceful comment about our longest serving senior player.
If he's such a liability then why did the club offer him a new deal last summer?

Because we need x amount of english and homegrown players.

No we don't, we can have no more than 17 non-association grown players.

Oldham have a 20 per cent sell-on clause and we will end up with peanuts this summer.
His game now consists of swallow dives, feigning injury to help him get his breath back, ambling back, standing ten yards from his man, running into Navas' space, overrunning the ball into touch at an crossing attempt, and not knowing who to throw the ball to.
Apart from that he's supposedly good enough to be an understudy to the best right back in the entire league.
We may get peanuts but we won't be paying him £80k a week for the next 5 years - phew.
I think it's inevitable his game has gone backwards when he just isn't played. I'd like to see the affect of Vinny or Aguero's game if they didn't play.
I know Richards has injury problems, but those are worsened if you just don't play him. As it happens he was one of our better players against Wigan.
Another black mark against Pellegrini. Rodwell, and to an extent Lescott and Milner are in a similar position. If you don't use your playing assets sufficiently then their playing value diminishes. Ferguson was expert at getting the most out of his squad players, and he kept them all ticking over. We have barely played these players at all, and then fans moan at their lack of form. Look at the bigger picture.

Do you rate him?
Personally I think he has been awful in every game he has played this season. Surprised he wasn't taken off at half time yesterday.

I did.
Anybody's guess if he can refind the form he had before the injuries.
I didn't think he was that bad yesterday tbh and was surprised to see how much shit he was getting on the forums. I checked independent sources to see how they rated him and he had a solid 6 across the board. It seems it's just City fans that are slagging him off.

Personally I don't and he never will be, not in a 'football playing' 'ball to feet' team, touch is everything at the highest level, unfortunately the style we play exposes it ten fold when it isn't up to scratch, when you have 2/3 in that same team you have problems....
He's also wanted out for over 18 month, he's merely ran his contract down to a position of power!
This information came from the club did it.
And you are???
Listen our hero(s) move on in life, if you can't separate fact from fiction then oh well, he's been content to turn down offers over that period on the strength he gains from being in the last year of his contract, I don't need the club to confirm something I know as fact.......

Not sure how Pellegrini can be blamed for Rodwell and Richards constantly being injured. If their bodies are not up to the rigours of the game that is not the managers fault.
You cannot play either if they are knackered, what is he supposed to do. If he played them 70% fit and they broke down he would be slated.
Richards is simply not good enough for how we play the game. He never seems to have the ball under control, it is always bobbling. Reminds me of watching someone trying to play on a Sunday league pitch, the ball bobbles everywhere.
Yesterday he was shocking.
