ps CAHILL is better than Dawson too - and I wanted us to buy him............
All quite probably better than Dawson, BUT the whole point of this discussion is that we need someone NOW! So, that's Rodwell out. The asking price (which we're clearly, and rightly, not intending to pay) for Agger is a ridiculous £27m, so that's him out, the asking price for Martinez is astronomical to the point that even Bayern Munich have been unable to find a way around his ownership rights, so that's him out, there's no chance of the barcodes letting us have Colocini, so that's him out, and Bobby clearly isn't going to give Kolo the time of day. And so we are 6 days away from Stefan Savic as our only back up centre half....................
..................and I stand corrected on Kolo, cos there he is in the side today! Come on City!!!!
There's a 'flappers' thread - try that......................You asked what we thought of Dawson idea - everyone said it was crap. You asked for alternatives and I gave them to you. Move on.
While not disputing Dawsons defensive abilities and leadership qualities, I do feel his technical abilities let him down slightly.....this is maybe the reason we are not interested as it does look like Mancini likes his centre halfs to be able to play a little....Dawson strikes me as a defender a little like Lescott, they love to defend and are most happy when getting up close and tight to an opponent and can maybe get a little out of his comfort zone if asked to do any other....maybe any of our resident Spurs fans could shed a little light on Dawsons footballing/technical abilitiesExeter Blue I am here said:Can't see a thread on this, but time's running out in the transfer window, there ain't that many decent centre halves likely to be available at such short notice, and we are still an injury to Kompers away from the doomsday prospect of Stefan Savic. Even given his serious injury last season, surely Dawson is a steal at £9m. Certainly all the Spurs fans I know are gutted that the club are trying to sell him. What is he? 27? 28? Surely worth a punt, even it does mean dealing with Levy again.....

Think #MCFC should sign Michael Dawson
