Who signed the contract off? Which particular person?
Not a dept or an organisation subcontracted out to perform the task but an actual person.
A civil servant who received a bribe?
Or a civil servant who was under undue pressure from a politician who was paid a bribe?
They're guilty. It's as clear as day. They are behaving exactly how rich and entitled criminals behave.
They lied about their involvement until the criminal investigation started and now they have begun countermeasures.
They commissioned and produced their own documentary programme to reset the narrative.
If they had cut a deal with the government to pay back some of the money for defective equipment and have been honest about their ownership of the company, the NCA investigation would have probably been halted.
Laura Kuenssberg, I would suggest has also seen right through them and wants this to be her own "Prince Andrew" interview.
