somewhat ironic that big mick verated the greeks last night for "not having a go" and "he wouldn't forgive himself if his team had come to the world cup and not had a go"

what happened at old trafford mick?

Thats a league, where you have to play the 'long game', yet this is a cup and greece needed to get something. If wolves were playing the last game of the season and needed a win, do you think he would have put out the same team.

It's called using your brain.

what about the spirit of the game?

what about a level playing field for everyone?

what about the paying supporters?

Really pisses me off to see blues having a go at our ex players. Mick never has a bad word to say about city and absolutely loves the club. You were probably the ones threatening to boo Dunne when he came back to Eastlands with Villa.

Also, and more to the point it's a completely useless analogy to compare what Mick said about the Greeks to the game against the rags. Mick could afford to lose knowing that the following game against Burnley was much more winable. In the end Wolves stayed up and the end justified the means. Greece had to win to progress and they sat back, hence the comment.

As a bonus he fuckin' hates Keane so he gets my vote.

It was Greece's last opportunity to get a result that could have put them through. They should have had a real go at it. If Wolves' game at OT had been on the last day of the season, meaning a positive result would save them from the drop, MM's team selection would have been totally different to that he chose months earlier.

When it comes to 'Last Chance Saloon' you have to go for it at some point in the match.

Its only the same as putting a weakend team out against a smaller/ lower position team.

Its not that he didn't want to win the game he just boxed clever. It payed off, and i bet the wolves fans are happier about being in the prem again than trying to beat united at old trafford (Which they'd probably lose anyway, not disrespect)
