What people do to make a living can make them an entirely different person socially, quite often unsavoury characters are held in high esteem locally, for example Robin Hood was an armed robber.

I know that Mr Side . Your repost however was just a tongue in cheek anecdotal story that never happened. The old bill may be looking in lad and other stuff. You know as well as I do you wouldn't last a minute on the inside.Think showers and stuff.

He’s better looking than the misses pal:)

No it was much later than that. West Brom was around 87/88.

Operation Omega culmination and arrests were 1988 I think.
My mind is cloudy from a drunken haze in many of the games I attended back then. I think it was 85 when we were denied promotion back to division 1 when County scored a late winner to finish 3-2. It kicked off bigtime after that goal.

The WBA game you mentioned was the game where the inflatables craze took off if memory serves me right.

I genuinely think I saw him get thrown through a window at the bottom of market street while I was having a burger aged about 8. Then I went downstairs and two huge blokes were holding a man down and whacking him in the face. I saw the bloke a few days later with a black eye so he must have been a city fan.

Your mind is a biz hazy as Notts County were 3-0 up at half time :-).

Inflatables were in by then but the police operations against hooligan gangs were around 87 onwards.
