To be fair unlike the US who went into the area, caused the deaths of many thousands and then pissed off back home, the Israelis have nowhere to go. Which makes the utter carnage they are engaged in difficult to understand. When the dust settles they'll have the same neighbours as before but a hell of a lot angrier.
