Middle East Conflict | Netanyahu orders strikes on Gaza (p1161)

You know you've entered an alternate reality when Hamas take the moral high ground. It's like Fred West calling Harold Shipman a ****.

I thought Israel claimed that they didn't occupy Gaza before the war.

Why are they arresting someone outside their jurisdiction?

I failed to see the sarcasm in your post then I guess my bad. It's a time with emotions running high!
I wasn't being sarcastic m8. I posted the article with a couple of bits highlighted simply because in the most stark terms it lays out why so many Americans back Israel - God gave Israel to the Hebrews & their heirs & descendants forever and contemporary Israel is a contemporary manifestation of God's eternal will.

Maybe those observing can’t see the wood for the trees. It’s what happens when the West are surrounded by suit wearing genocidal maniacs who they see as their own.

I am genuinely confused as to how anyone called you a Hamas sympathiser. If you really believe that it is scary stuff mate and you are most definitely a Zionist.

You ever think that the USA might be latching on to your cause for its own interests in the region? And if we're gonna speak about religion and politics in the same breath how does that country (USA) manifest the godly values that you so profess? If anything it seems the opposite to me just saying.

I am not scholarly enough to know this but surely no god in any religion would advocate the destruction or ethic cleansing of another group for the benefit of his own people. Especially if they were in a sizeable minority?? I'm really at a loss here. I'd say the same about hindutva in India or Tue Catholic church in the Americas. But I get the feeling that I'm dealing with someone quite unhinged so it might be best to leave it here...
Literally all I did was post an article I thought illustrated the gentile Zionist mind-set in the U.S., in order to answer the question why America supports Israel reflexively, & the reasoning by the Governor of South Dakota is part of the answer imo.

I don’t know the God portrayed in the Old Testament was fond of smiting the enemies of the Israelites and the Israelites if they pissed him off enough

And those Germanic Gods, were the next level

I suspect because a military man mascarading as a medical man is probably against warfare conventions.
Though that went out the window some time ago in this conflict.

Before anyone starts getting arsey about sources it's just an opinion piece about how things stand.

The views expressed in this article are the author’s own and do not necessarily reflect Al Jazeera’s editorial stance.

There’s nothing wrong with reasoned opinion, but when opinion poses as news that’s the problem

Warfare conventions that apply when there isn't a conflict? Maybe cite the legislation rather than rely on probably?

Do you think it's possible that he's been taken into custody for torture?

Israel practices torture, its supreme court has said torture is justified in certain circumstances where necessary, and the pretext of the invasion of a hospital to take out terrorist command centres needs a justification....

Not a conflict eh. What all the shit that's happened since Oct 7th then? A festival?
For goodness sake, get real.

Sounds more like wishful thinking than considered opinion.

This was your response to a previous opinion piece I shared. For reference it was this:

That's just propaganda i'm afraid, it's a red line in the sand drawn by the US and Egypt there is absolutely no way it would happen

I think you have to be very choosy about where you pick your news sources from Haaratz, Al Qasira, Sky, BBC, Guardian are all quite reliable in my experience

I mean I thought it was reasoned opinion whether you agreed or not. You could have deconstructed what you disagreed with beyond 'red lines'....... but you didn't.
