10 years ago I was in a Lebanese restaurant in London. At the table next to me was a Scottish arms dealer and someone from Obama's White House. The American assured the business man that when Hilary got in, Iran would be targeted and that they'd be doing more business together.
It's my belief that the shit going down now is as much to do about money as anything else.

Currently a debate in Parliament Lammy evades questions on the American bombing of Iran I’ve missed most of it but he’s taking questions from MPs he assured the house we had nothing to do with Americas bombing of Iran. Hope this debate is up on You tube later.

I'm genuinely unsure how I should think about this behavior, meaning as Trump did a few days ago and now from Israel, issuing warnings to evacuate.

Okay, so if we are only targeting regime forces and infrastructure, with our most precise heavy / long-range weapons humanity has ever seen (to this point) , but still... granting the obvious, which is some civilians will die, and others will suffer life-changing injuries, and a shit-ton will have trouble processing any trauma...why suggest evacuating millions and millions? You'd only do that, if a large-scale bio-weapon or nuclear device was on the table. Unless, the real point is simply psychological terror and the shut-down of the Iranian economy.

I wonder what international law says right now about threats like these against civilian populations? This is pretty blatant. Not for the first time either is it? Is this a form of terrorism? Or just prudent advice? What a mess.

I just pictured an alternative time-line for the British response to the Iranian embassy crisis. Instead of the SAS, they just carpet bomb all of Kensington. "Bound to get them them. Job done. Quit your whining. Collateral damage. You woke? Fucking leftie."

What's that scene from Full Metal Jacket? The door-gunner shooting at anyone?

Well it was created and there are a lot of Jews living there. Only one way they're leaving and the process of removing them is called genocide which you don't seem to be keen on.
Hamas and Hezbollah also wnnt the genocide of all Israeli Jews.

Now Netanyahu and his conspirators have gone way over the top in killing Gazan Arab civilians as well as Hamas fighters.
So do tell me how you propose to remove Israeli Jews from what you call Palestine without mass murder?

Firstly quoting a Washington based right wing think tank doesn't cut it with me.

I do however agree that whether Hitchens, me or anyone else thinks now, the reality is there are lots of Jewish people living there.

I don't want them removed. Not do I want Palestinians removed.

The only solution for me is a one state solution.

Secular. It looks a long way off at the moment. The biggest obstacle being Netanyahu Who doesn't want a 2 state solution never mind what I suggest

Iran has turned on massive jamming transmitters that distort GPS signals around the Straits of Hormuz.
Only one way this is going now.

As he's not that old and very popular it will have to be imposed from outside.
Trump is nothing if not unpredictable. He might say, I've destroyed Iran for you, now you're going to do this for me.

Who knows?
