According to Red Cross statistics, in the first two decades of the occupation, from 1967 to 1987, one in three Palestinians, about 500,000, were detained by Israeli forces.

Just in this 21st century, prior to Oct 7th Israel had killed over 2000 Palestinian children.

Of the 251 hostages taken on Oct 7th, Hamas has returned 168 alive. (Did you miss the previous releases?)

And you're just being ridiculous in thinking anyone detained by Israel is a "pow". All those doctors wielding scalpels?

We are complicit here, make no mistake, and our papers hailing Donald the Peacemaker are woefully wide of the mark. There is a lot of stuff emerging about Jared Kushner and contracts for the rebuild of Gaza being written two years ago that will be awarded to him. It is corruption in plain sight at the expense of thousands of lives.

If these attacks were committed by any country but Israel, we would have stepped in properly decades ago.
 
The state of this thread, how anyone can believe this is all the fault of one side ir another baffles me. Both sides are as bad as each other and have both committed hugely questionable actions.

Both sides have fanatics who have strongly held views that they wont change.

Who whole area is a huge shitshow, this will just continue for years to come.

Fanatical bellends on both sides.

True, but the damage, death, injury and starvation is overwhelmingly on one side of the divide.

Did Israel even sign their name to any ceasefire? There was a lot of media fuss about this so called ceasefire, but I’m not sure Israel even turned up to the singing.
 


It’s a shaky ceasefire the killing goes on and another journalist meets his end the IDF have killed journalist Mohammad Al-Munirawi, from Falasteen Newspaper, along with his wife, after bombing their tent in Al-Nuseirat Refugee Camp, central Gaza Strip.

It’s always the journalists who show themselves giving the world up to date news on Gaza. Don’t they know they are being tracked by the spy flights over Gaza and they and their families are then disposed of.

Just hide in a blacked out room to send your reports and don’t give your name and photograph the killing of journalists is off the scale.
