Middle East Conflict

You're thought experiment sounds very much like a fascist Israeli fantasy.
It's a thought experiment, one to consider, when you have considered all the points

Although the context is different, there was an exchange of population between Greece and Turkey (it was a very tragic episode in history as Greeks had lived in that area far longer than Turks) The ethnic Greeks went to Greece and the ethnic Turks went to Turkey

All I am saying that if a decent piece of land could be carved out would in not be an option? Just consider Israel is a really tiny part of the middle east even with the occupied territories, there would have to lots of incentives and lots of nation building, like I said it's just a thought experiment

They had a decent piece of land.

The assertion was that Israel possibly wanted to occupy Gaza regardless of the Oct 7th atrocity. This point of debate was then conflated by others, including yourself, with other matters. There was no proof provided that what was originally being stated was anything other than an assumption.
So without any proof that Israel does not want to occupy Gaza (apart from the obvious evidence that many in the government do) the USA and EU warn Israel not to do it. There's a lot of conflation going on (you don't have to be one of inbetween's leftie conspiracists who want "to bring down our system of government and the ideology of the west").

"Several ministers have stated that Israel could or should consider rebuilding settlements in the Strip, again contradicting Israel’s official position that it has no intention to reoccupy Gaza for the long term."

Are there any decent pieces of land in America ? That is culturally closer to Israel ?

From an Israeli point of view, the region is plenty big enough to carve out a Palestinian state, even with the West Bank it’s a small country and if every Jewish person wanted to live there, there would not be enough space or resources

Just as a thought experiment, a new viable state could be made in say the Sini, it would take a lot of funding and nation building, but as a thought experiment it’s worth thinking about

Why is acceptable to play devil advocate about the Palestinians going to somewhere else but not the Jewish population of Israel?
